Really lovely restaurant about 20 min walk from Liverpool Street. Very unassuming from the outside but opens up when you walk through. Very good service. Not sure if they have a sommelier, no one offered to talk us through the wine list or make recommendations. I had a cocktail which was tasty and well made . Water was continually topped up including sparkling water. We opted for the chefs menu, so the chef chooses the food they serve you. The catered for different allergens . The different waiters did say what the food was but was very quietly spoken so did not always hear. Our main server was very attentive and kind. The napkins were very fluffy and left white bobbles on both mine and my husbands trousers that did not brush off easy. Overall very tasty food especially the parmesan fries and a very good service.

(Translated by Google) Back after a long time, the food is excellent, some dishes remain exceptional, such as the parmesan sticks, burrata or tiramisu, however a slightly more negative experience, a bit of confusion and noise in the dining room, however always an excellent place to eat.

(Translated by Google) Attentive and very friendly staff. Very pleasant setting, we enjoyed ourselves from the starter to the dessert! A little bit of a wait between our starter and our main course but nothing serious. For the most greedy my portions would be a little small! Book in advance because it is very difficult to find a place (especially during the weekend).

Recently visiting the latest additions to the Michelin scene in London for lunch. Thai place totally deserved their award, and my first Italian inspired restaurant. The service from the greeting on arrival, through the service whilst dining, was worthy of their new status. As for the menu, here is my recommendation: The Parmesan fries were simply delicious and we could have order a portion each. Don’t leave without having one. I then opted for the Mezzi paccheri with pork sausage pork. Lovely but I would it a little too heavy as a Primi course and unable to finish it I had to have the wild Cornish turbot, and I wasn’t disappointed. I ended with their signature desert, lemon tart. Highly recommend it… Overall, worthy of a second visit to try some of the other incredible dishes.

The Restaurant is beautiful with an extensive wine selection. The dishes are very good. The Salumi is beautiful to start with and both of us really enjoyed the picked vegetables. Parmesan Fries are actually very filling but very nice. I love the Sea bream Crudo, which is very fresh. The Scallop with Nudja is also delicious and the scallops are fresh and sweet. My friend really enjoyed his primi and secondi, pork sausage Ragu and beef fillet. I only ordered a secondi with Halibut. Given I'm not a fan of the smoked eel, I wouldn't think I made the right choice. However, I was pretty full before the secondi already. For me, it's definitely quite a large amount of food. I love Panna cotta, which comes in a cocktail glass. It's beautiful with rhubarb and meringue. Definitely loved it.

Took my daughter to Luca for her 18th birthday yesterday and it was fantastic. Upon entering you are met with a dark, clubby feeling bar which rapidly opens out into an airy, light interior. We were seated at a table facing a wall (much better than it sounds) and given our menus in an unfussy, friendly way. The menu was spartan with four choices for each course - and yet each option was so rich and varied that we felt spoiled for choice. There was a little hopeless googling of some of the Italian descriptions but Luca is about as unpretentious and straightforward as this type of restaurant comes. No silly, floral descriptions that oversell the food. Just simple one line explanations that capture the rich diversity of ingredients in each course. In keeping with the theme of unfussy, unpretentious but deceptively special food and ambience, was the service. These servers know exactly how to make you feel comfortable. We were a grandma, a mother and an 18 year old daughter and we felt as welcome as the hip London design crowd who populated the nearby tables. Each course was presented in unison with a crisp description of the wonders that lay ahead. The servers were friendly, authentic and exceedingly competent. Such a treat and one of the many aspects that elevate Luca from being just a good restaurant to being something very special. The food was exceptional in every way. I had lime cooked sea bream antipasti with tart, astringent flavours that lapped beautifully against the thin slivers of fish. To follow was a perfect al dente tortellini of barbecued vegetables (about as far removed from my blackened BBQ fennel as humanly possible). Then came a subtle Turbot adorned with summer vegetables and a beautiful foamy broth. And for dessert, a lemon tart that was perfection: pastry with crunch and crumble, a perfectly set lemon custard and a light glazing of caramelised sugar along the top. Oh - and I almost forgot the fennel ice cream. Just wonderful. We had a lovely unhurried lunch that didn't overwhelm us with bloat or fatigue and left us very satisfied customers looking forward to our next visit.
