After Birdwatching for an hour or 2 at St Aidens I decided to check out the lake next door. Idyllic quiet and amazing views across many habitats. Only one visible fishing piers was occupied. Signage could do with contact details as I don't want to fish but would pay a membership fee to keep the facilities maintained.

Great stock of carp and pike. The fishing for pike is so easy you can catch 4 or 5 on a good day. And also lots of tiny perch to catch on spinners. The lakes best pegs are 32, 32 and 25 in my opinion.

Peaceful place to walk, shame bridge wasn't repaired after the floods for a circular walk, little piers for fishermen give great sunset views. Paths leading to St Aidens then onto Woodlesford, The Lines etc. Wooded part and field for dogs to play and chase rabbit smells!
