I came for a 2 hour beginners woodturning course and Liz was great. Very clear explanations and demonstrations from Liz and then a chance to try out some techniques and then produce a small piece. If you are new to wood turning or interested in learning how to turn wood, this course is highly recommended.

I was given this day as a present by my family as I showed an interest in woodturning. Watching YouTube videos is good, but there is no substitute for an expert at your shoulder. Liz's calm instruction guided me through a very informative and enjoyable day. And to my surprise I came home with 3 lovely pieces. Her enthusiasm for turning was fantastic and chatting at lunchtime she gave me lots of advice on how to proceed. This was the first turning course I have attended and has got me seriously looking at getting a lathe. The follow up email is really helpful full of information and contacts to do this. Thank you again Liz for all your help, guidance and a day to remember and great fun too. I would thoroughly recommend Love Heartwood to anyone interested in woodturning. .

I attended a full day course with Liz and truly enjoyed seeing how to convert a plane piece of wood into a beautiful plate, bowl or a decorative mushroom. It was enjoyable to discuss multiple wood aspects with Liz as well as her views on design work. I am seriously thinking of adding woodwork to my hobbies :). I fully recommend this course.
