After years of following Kate on Instagram I was finally able to work with her and her team <3 LOUD is a top architect firm and their ideas and design are just awesome!!! We did a feasibility study together for our ground floor redesign and she gave tons of ideas and smart solution for optimised cost and space ^_^ Kate is soooo creative! She did a site visit in person and ask all our desires, a great listener! Now we need to save some extra cash to make it all possible (thanks to the feasibility study we also had a clear idea of the costs so we didn't start a project that we could not afford at the moment). 100000% recommended! I engaged with Kate at Loud Architects after falling in love with their unique style and design on Instagram. I had had a vision for how I wanted to change the partially sub-ground floor of my house for a long time but was worried I’d not be able to make the vision a reality and to be able to afford that. It was dark, cold, poorly laid out and didn’t make use of space and I was aiming for lots of light meaning lots of glass and cosy, meaning warm tones and underfloor heating. I finally plucked up the courage to talk to Kate and request for her to come see the property and talk me through the process and I’m so glad that I did. Right from the go Kate was reassuring but honest and practical about what I could and couldn’t do within a given budget, she talked me through the process highlighting where costs may rise and gave me all the information I needed to feel calm, prepared and in control. As a single woman in her 30s doing this alone, having Kate speak with such clarity about it all and knowing I’d have her there for support was the main reason I felt I could proceed. The designs Kate returned far exceeded my ‘vision’ for what could be done and I love the fact she threw in some designs that really pushed the boundaries of what I was imagining and at the same time would allow me to achieve the look for less. During tender Kate made sure that everything was transparent from the builders that were pitching by giving a detailed line by line breakdown in excel to what needed to happen. This was immensely useful as again it gave me a lot of control over the cost rationalisation exercises needed to make it a reality. Throughout the build she was supportive, responsive and helped me adapt plans where they needed to be. She kept me calm and was always on hand with such a depth and breadth of knowledge and experience and network of professionals to cater for everything. My only wish is that I could have had the cash to bring Kate and Loud into the interior design phase as well as her talent far far outshines mine and I still to this day consider bringing her back to put a real designer's touch on what I’ve done. You just need to take one look at her own house to know what a huge difference real design talent makes. This said, I now have my dream come true. My space is bright, warm and full of colour. I have a kitchen that is everything I ever wanted and more (Kate guided the designs of this too) and a space that’s as quirky as I am (Kate gave me the confidence to go for it). I can’t recommend Kate and Loud highly enough, absolutely exceptional.

We first found Kate via Instagram and instantly fell in love with her work and knew we had to have her as our architect. A year later we managed to enlist her services and she exceeded our expectations. She was very patient, took on board our wish list and made our dreams a reality. We are in love with her design for our house and we cannot wait to see it come into fruition. As we are both deaf, a design that allowed for clear communication using sign language through glass windows and across several rooms were very important and she achieved this through her design. Kate and her team were very responsive, quick to answer any questions or queries we had and were very efficient! We consider ourselves very lucky to be able to have her as our architect and couldn’t recommend her more.

I heard about Kate & Loud Architects from an Instagram account I was following. I was blown away by the design & finish. I looked her up and immediately thought if we ever decide on doing our extension, I am going to use this company. Fast forward to COVID and like many, being in the house 24 hours a day with two small children in our current layout was a nightmare! In a strange coincidence, I also saw her post on a local community social media group. I thought it was a sign and got in contact. Kate & her team designed our extension and loft conversion, listening to our needs and as she puts it ‘must haves’. What’s also utterly wonderful is that they also offered an interior design service to boot! This was great as I had zero time for that. She also helped design our kitchen (literally down to the handles). She put our project through a tender process and then weighed up the submissions by price and scope according to our budget. This was great as we didn’t have the mammoth task of finding a building company ourselves! We agreed on a building firm and are currently 7 weeks into construction. We have a wonderful site manager who updates us daily and Kate comes to check all is in order and according to design every few weeks. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kate & Loud Architects!

Mum was delighted with Loud Architects' creativity, responsiveness and professionalism during her home rennovations. Kate provided tailored design, advice and oversight on the house (tiling, flooring, bathrooms, kitchen, extensions) that responded to Mum's vision. The completed project owed a great deal of its success to Kate's sensitivity, enthusiasm and commitment.

I discovered Kate on Instagram back in nov 18, I was embarking on what I thought was a fairly simple, run of the mill single story extension with an internal re-fit of my mums 3 bedroom house in Surrey. It was far from a glory job and other architects were either slow at coming back to me, not particularly interested or were just way to busy. Kate came back to me very quickly, was so easy to talk to, made everything seem manageable, she was just very happy to help me. If only we had proceeded with Loud Architects there and then. However we instructed a local builder who had their architect and structural engineer, it all went horribly wrong, the builders ripped us off, the architect was not really an architect, I never got to meet the structural engineer who was managed through the architect. The house was left with over £100K worth of damage, at least £100K devalued and with that and more to spend on it to put right. so take note, no shortcuts with your life's savings! the Building Controller won't save you when it all goes wrong, not even fancy lawyers will get you your hard earned money back when the builders decide to liquidate, nothing you can do. imagine! so, I picked myself up, just about, called Kate and apologised for not contracting her, I told her what had happened and I needn't have worried about re contacting her, she was only too happy to help, she got to work on a new tender pack for me, went above and beyond. She was human, personable, she understood my predicament perfectly. We are still working through the building works, and unfortunately its unlikely we will finish the project anytime soon, but its so reassuring to have all the correct paperwork in place and a professional on hand to ask big questions and small.
