(Translated by Google) FROM MEX TO JAPAN Saturday evening, dinner in Notting Hill. An evening dedicated to Japanese-Mexican flavors by experimenting with the fusion cuisine of the Los Mochis restaurant. Our table is not yet ready and we are offered an aperitif sitting at a wonderful counter covered with a mosaic of multicolored ceramics. After a short wait, the table is ready and we can sit upstairs. A decidedly captivating atmosphere, exposed brick walls, murals everywhere, wooden tables without tablecloths and, overhead, a verdant ceiling where the lighting is managed thanks to dozens of light bulbs which make the atmosphere very warm and intimate. We leaf through an infinite drink menu and choose a couple. A Maracuja Shiso Margarita composed of Altos reposado tequila (based on blue agave), mango, passion fruit and shiso (a sort of Chinese basil, but decidedly more aromatic) and an Oaxaca Passion composed of tequila, mezcal, triple sec, grapefruit, passion fruit and mango. Along with our drinks, a bottle of water. Very good. Our journey through Mexican flavors mixed with Japanese culture and elegance can begin. We order Tuna poke tostaditos, two mini portions consisting of raw yellowfin tuna, yuzu, shiso, avocado, jalapeno pepper, sesame, onion and sweet potato. Along with a choice of Maki (rice rolls and nori seaweed), a Tuna asparagus. It is always a couple of mini portions made up of raw yellowfin tuna, asparagus, pickled red onion and sesame seeds. Very high quality, very small quantity, real finger food. Too bad, we would have eaten more and more. In the meantime we decide to repeat our drinks. Followed by a Seabass Ceviche with a sea bass base and then tobiko (flying fish roe), yuzu, shiso, shallots and watercress. Spectacular! We conclude our dinner with a third round of drinks and a choice of tacos. The list includes some from the sea and others from the land. We choose two seafood tacos accompanied by a portion of still warm tortillas. A Miso Cod based on cod, avocado, cabbage, jalapeno pepper and sweet potato and a Prawn Kushiyaki composed of shrimp, guacamole, lettuce, yuzu, aioli and pico de gallo (salsa mex with cherry tomatoes, onion, green, hot peppers and coriander ). All really great. There is still room for a sweet to share. A chocolate fondant. Dark dulce de leche served with Madagascar vanilla ice cream. Enjoyable. It's time for the bill. A total of 187.50 pounds plus an extra fixed percentage for the service (too much) which brings the total to 212.81 pounds of which more than a hundred due to our strand of drinks. The cost corresponds to about 243 euros. Another important expense (without the decidedly less series of drinks), but the necessary premise is always the same. We are in London, one of the coolest and most fascinating cities in the world. Location, service and above all top-level quality of raw materials almost always involve an expense of this type. (Original) FROM MEX TO JAPAN Sabato sera, cena a Notting Hill.

Truly a treat! Not only was the food a feast for the senses and unique, the wine was wonderful, the service was thoughtful and the locale is understated Notting Hill neighbourhood cool. They also take dogs. It’s not a cheap eat but for a special but relaxed occasion, worth every penny.

Absolutely great place to eat. Sounds a bit bit crazy Japan-Mexican fusion. But everything is tasty, presented with skill and the staff are incredibly attentive. Trailorpark Chicken was, I think our groups ultimate favourite. And please save room for dessert the Churros are epicly good! The cocktails are great. Can recommend the Tommy and El Loco Burro. They went down a treat. Decor is good. Random vodoo shrine to Yoda. Definatly worth a try. Very special occasion dining rather than a place to frequent, but that's just to suit the average man/woman's pocket.

Food was good however it was so slow to get our food. Understand the concept of getting things once they are ready however we ordered the salmon on crispy rice pretty much first and around an hour later after reminding them, was told a new batch was being made. We were slightly chided that it takes time and needs to be ordered ASAP but.. we did? By the time we got them we were a bit full and didn't dummy appreciate it. Anyway that aside the food was great. Service overall could've been managed better (including writing down our order which would've helped maybe). Ambience of the restaurant was great and despite the hiccup with the order would go again (will just clarify upfront what we want). The entire (or most) of the menu is gluten free and the trailer park chicken and dynamite shrimp tacos in particular were very good
