Completely baffled by the unbelievably poor customer service Iāve just experienced at this ādealershipā. Firstly we popped in on the way past as we live locally at 2pm to find them packing up 2 hours early because āwe have no customerā (unsurprisingly given events that followed). They seemed perfectly friendly and accommodating and still let us (reluctantly) have a quick look round the car. The car was actually a very good example on face value and after completing relevant checks returned on Monday. We had intended to make a cash purchase that day should the test drive be as we expected. We complete the test drive, only a quick mile up and down the road leaving us perfectly happy with the vehicle, however my girlfriend was reluctant at the colour and general spec and as we were in no rush I went in to tell him we were going to THINK about it. That thought was soon forced out of our head by the eruption of frustration and the lecture that shortly followed. He didnāt even allow me to say that she wanted to think about it and straight away assumed we had written off the prospect of purchasing, he soon made that decision for us (appreciate you helping us dodge the bullet pal). Straight away he began telling me that it was ridiculous and ānot funnyā (sorry my smile clearly wasnāt to your taste, itās called being friendly you might wish to look into it) that we had taken such an expensive vehicle on a test drive. It was certainly the most interesting sales tactic Iād ever seen and I buy new and used cars weekly as part of my job, Iāve never been treated so poorly buy a garage. I had come straight from work and he had 100% judged me based on my uniform and when challenged told me he saw me as just a person not a customer? Hereās an idea, treat customers as customers and they might buy something from you. After eventually telling him his short lecture had not enlightened me to comply with his forcing sales tactics we finally managed to leave as he continued to ask me to sit down so he could explain it to me further? Never experienced something so strange from a salesman, fair to say Iād avoid it like the plague but I look forward his patronising passive aggressive reply below.
