Not sure if the increased demand this winter has lead them to rushing the drying process but my batch of kiln dried logs are presumably quite high in water content as they struggle to burn and audibly sizzle. Sent an email prior to writing this review and waited a week with no reply. Really disappointing and this will be my one-and-only visit

Not always reliable at times of peak demand in winter. Have spoken to them about it. Got a long response about DEFRA Regulations and Business models. However the problem is that in winter 2021/22 and 2022/23 Longleat failed to meet demand and periodically closed at short notice. Not great respect for customers in a fuel/ energy crisis in the midst of winter. Failing to meet demand does call their business model into question.

We buy all of our fire wood from here. The staff are always very friendly and helpful, and the wood is reasonably priced, easy to buy/pick up and always well dried. I can recommend Longleat Forestry 100%.

Such a gorgeous and well kept forest, my friends and I have enjoyed many walks and hikes through the second largest Sequoia tree forest in the world. The staff is exceptionally helpful and always kind and courteous. The safari park is second to none and longeat house and park is a must see! We also buy our kiln dried hardwood for out heat and it is great quality wood.

Had a large load delivered and after a couple of months of undercover storage this wood is burning brilliantly. Really helpful staff and good advice, even helped me out with supplying an axe block.

It has always been a pleasure to come to Longleat Forestry to stock up with kiln dried hardwood. However, comparing past receipts of the 8th February 2019 (barely a year ago) when the cost per load was £272.00 with 14th January 2020 receipt, now £295.00 per load; an increase of nearly 9%. The Forestry or Mr J M, whom I'm told is responsible for the increase, surely cannot blame rising labour, fuel or stock costs for this MASSIVE uplift. It would be very disappointing if this type of increase is going to be the norm. Not good.

Take pot luck with kiln dried. We have tried to complain- along with others- but told we must speak to a manager who is never there. We phone before we go for availabilty we also re check. No two members of staff give same information about availabilty of kiln dried....tomorrow (no)....then Thursday.(no)..then it's Friday(no) and suddenly there's none!
