Maldon Council, you need to do something about this place. I challenge any one of you to get an appointment! It's been days now trying to get hold of a doctor. Finally got through to be told, "there are no appointments left, try again tomorrow..."

No wonder the A&E Department's are fully overwhelmed right now. Absolutely shocking service from this GP surgery yesterday and today. I followed the guidelines on Longfield Medical Centre's website in regard to cold and flu symptoms which directs you to call 111 for healthcare advice. I was then allocated to a GP who then completely disregarded the details on the 111 report. Some of these details included the following: My daughter is 3 years old(this detail alone should have been reason to make time for a 2 minutes phonecall at least. My daughter had been ill with what I believed to be an infection and I now know to be tonsillitis for 2 weeks. My daughter's condition had deteriorated and worsened. My daughter's temperature had reached 39.3 C (I guess nobody cares if it's not COVID right?) All these are clear indicators my daughter was in need of antibiotics. You don't need to go to medical school to understand that. I received an extremely apologetic call from the reception at Longfield as the GP had decided my 3 year old daughter was not worth 5 minutes of his/her time over the phone! I was told I would receive a phone call in the next 24 hrs to discuss her symptoms. Unfortunately this was too little too late as my little ones temperature continued to rise and culminated in her having a seizure and having to be taken in the ambulance to hospital to be treated for tonsillitis the same day I practically begged the lady at the reception to ask the doctor to reconsider to which I received the reply he is in with a patient. Why on earth my daughter has gone through this I don't know as it all could have been avoided if the GP Surgery wasn't so cagey about about seeing patients. Oh and finally the GP finally called us the next day at 15.01 by which point we had already acquired antibiotics via the trip to hospital. He or she literally left it 24hrs before bothering to pick up the phone. What is the point in a GP even existing if you can't get help when you need it. Complete lack of compassion displayed here and nobody lacking compassion should be a doctor. It's clearly become about time and money not looking after people.

I have received excellent medical treatment from the surgery on a number of occasions. The receptionists have been very helpful. The nurses and doctors that I have seen have been professional and very approachable. Thank you.

Waited in the queue for an hour and fifty minutes when I finally get through, they say the line is breaking and hang up. They didn't even try to ring me back, I had full bars and 5G

They only accept new appointments on the day, you can't book anything in advance. Illogical way to run a practice resulting is poor patient experience (having to call 87 times to get through and then a 40+ minute telephone queue) and creating more work for the staff.

Can never get an appointment or through to reception to book and appointment as wait hours. I’m in need of urgent repeat prescription and nobody comes back to me (not even dispensary when I requested via email)
