This was given to us as a gift. We were total beginners with no prior knowledge about wine. The wines were lovely, the food was delicious and we met a nice group doing the Beginners Course with us. We just came away and felt the instructor had expected too much of us. She originally noted how good it was that people knew very little about wine, but this soon changed. She was then rather condescending and harsh when we did ask questions. I asked one to which she replied ‘I think that’s rather self explanatory’. She even started asking us what regions in France we thought the wines were from after one sip, which I think is pretty demanding for a beginner. I think it’s a great idea and I did overall enjoy the day but to be honest I felt like the teacher let the course down. I felt like i was back in back at school with a very strict teacher who was just out to prove us wrong.

I received this wine tasting experience for Christmas and I had the best time. I had little knowledge about wine in general and I was happy to learn more about the history in general but mainly practical skills about wine, how to taste it and what to look for. We even had cheese to taste along with the different kind of wine. It was a great experience with lovely people, I highly recommend it!
