Don't go here and don't get the virgin voucher as a gift. Food was average and staff some staff are rude. Not sure how to spell his name but malek was very condescending and rude. Our waiter was a white mature man. He clearly hates his job. Long story short, take your money elsewhere. ✌🏼

Came here for a birthday dinner and was expecting exceptional service from a high quality restaurant. Food was really good but our waitress gave poor service, barely made eye contact or smiled. Didn’t top up our water and forgot to bring things we asked for. We weren’t asked how our food was and the occasion was not made special, e.g. no happy birthday message on the dessert. We expected a lot better for the money so was disappointing.

We had a lovely dinner here last night. The waiter was absolutely charming and the steaks were delicious. We chose the a la carte menu (I had vouchers, so we had money taken off the bill), and had looked at the menu on line prior to coming, so were aware of the prices beforehand. The peppercorn sauce was also great!

Below average, especially for a London restaurant. We booked a package with the shard so had £55 to spend at the restaurant. We were really looking forward to it and had such a pleasant experience at the shard that we had high expectations- a mistake! Cocktails were nice. As for the main course… We ordered the mixed steak sharer, and sides, and waited around 45 minutes for it. It tasted nice and was cooked how we like, however all food including the £6.50 sides (of which we ordered 4) were all cold! We told the waitress and the food was taken back, to which returned (another half an hour later) cold again, and not all sides were replaced. We sent the fries back again as they were simply unacceptable. If it wasn’t for the long wait we probably would not have eaten the replaced food however by this point we had not eaten and simply ate it out of hunger not enjoyment. Staff were polite on arrival and the waitress was lovely, however, management did not know how to deal with complaints as no compassion was shown. We were offered ‘a shot’ after our poor food, which after paying £200 for a meal is a total insult. The peppercorn sauce was lovely and really the only positive to the food, which for a high end steakhouse is ridiculous! Overall, a very disappointing visit.

We visited the Steakhouse this week & were relieved that our experience wasn't the same as lots of others here. We had the 5 course Virgin £55 gourmet meal for 2. When we booked the lady was so nice & reassuring & said we needed to come on the Thursday evening or Friday lunch to use the set meal voucher (otherwise it was just a £55 deduction from the a la carte menu). We do understand why some folks get hot under the collar about this offer but if you know what you are getting & aren't too food-fussy then you'll enjoy it!! Our experience was.. Nice lively atmosphere & friendly staff. No hard up selling & food we had was delicious. We decided not to order anything extra.. Not even a drink (we'd already had a bottle of Prosecco at our hotel) so they just brought us the cocktails ( nice.. Vodka & cranberry) & lots of tap water. The waiters didn't mind one bit they were lovely. The 2 first courses are just a tiny taster so don't get excited(smoked salmon blini & beetroot & goats cheese) the next was a kipper pate or ham hock.. Then fishcake or beef bourgingnon. Then a choice of 3 desserts. We were quite full & the food we chose was lovely, hot & tasty. It's a very small choice so if you are in any way food fussy you may be stuck. We ended up paying the £2 table cover charge (what in earth is that?) & the service charge £7. So for about £60 in total was had a decent meal in a lovely setting with a cocktail. Not bad for London in these pricey times. We will definitely come again!
