    Booked London Moving to take the contents of our flat (4th floor with no lift) in London to storage in Essex. David and Mirek arrived slightly late due to heavy traffic, but they were very apologetic. They were friendly and worked non stop to empty the flat and then packed it neatly into a storage area I thought was a bit too tight to begin with! Our belongings were treated with care and respect throughout. The price were were quoted was lower than other firms (by almost half in some cases) but that didn't reflect in the service which was 1st class. I would have no hesitation in using them again.     I had previously used this company a couple of times and had found them to be generally good, so thought I would stick with what I knew. I booked through Helen to use them in August for arrival between 12pm and 1pm. When they didn't arrive, I tried getting hold of them by email and phone and at 2.07pm I had a response that they were still at least two hours away due to the extreme heat slowing them down that day. I said that was too late as the storage company had advised that we had to arrive by 4pm at the latest to have time to unload (which I mentioned to Helen when I booked). We then spoke on the phone and they said they could do arrival between 9am & 9.30am the next morning, so I booked another day off work. (Thankfully I was just moving in with my partner rather than it being the day of a house sale completion with others in the moving chain.) The next morning I received a text at 7am from a random number saying, "I can't do the morning because I have another job but can do the afternoon". I was confused and said I didn't understand as it had all been arranged with Helen at London Moving UK. I responded that it had to be in the morning because we needed to get to the storage company by 4pm. A few frustrating phone calls later, they finally arrived at 2.50pm! However, it wasn't their usual van, moving men or processes and they had subcontracted the job out to a man and his friend with a van without telling me. When I booked, I had arranged for packing and materials to be included. He said he didn't have materials and wasn't told that but then he did manage to find a few packing materials in his van. They were very slow and unprofessional and didn't do things to the previous standard I'd experienced when using London Moving UK. When they were unloading at Access self storage in Surbiton (who were very nice and stayed late for me), even the lady working there said they were very unprofessional and didn't seem to have packed things properly. When it was finally time to pay, which would normally happen by me phoning Helen and making payment at the end of the move, he wanted cash directly and wanted more than the amount agreed when booked with Helen. It was not nice to have a dispute at the end of two difficult days of trying to move, though we did manage to resolve it. I told Helen that I would have no choice but to leave a review of my experience and she said she was recovering from cancer treatment and had just had her last surgery and would be closing the business. That made me feel bad so I didn't leave a review but it's now January and it looks like they are still open. Given I am now in the process of planning another move and have been looking at other removal company reviews online to decide who to go with, I was reminded that I should give a review of my experience to help other people who are deciding who to go with when making moving plans.     Although my belongings were moved from A to B, I would say this was a professional service. My mattress, which I'd put in a bag for protection from dirt, was dragged across gravel, causing the bag to tear and mattress to be scraped and marked. Boxes marked fragile had heavier boxes left on top of them, causing the boxes to rip and some glass items to be damaged. One of the movers was sweating so much it dripped onto a yellow fabric chair, leaving stains. The chair was also dragged passed a bush without being covered, more stains. Then at the end of the move the drivers asked for cash paymentand made me speak to their boss on the phone to explain why I wasnt giving them cash. My quote had said that payment would be taken by debit card upon completion . Upon ringing the company on the day, I was told that if I didn't have cash the drivers could drive me in the truck to a cash point! I refused and was allowed to pay by bank transfer. I only noticed all the damage after they had gone when I was unpacking, so was unable to raise it at the time.Would not recommend. I note the comment below. Happy to provide the emails and invoice to you as proof if required.

    I accepted their quote to move on 28/12 after speaking with their customer service rep on 21/12 (Saturday). Received a call from them Sunday morning that wakes me up. I called back immediately only to be told that apparently "I have been calling them since morning what do I want"? And then hung up on me. I texted the number and said that I didn't call them in fact they called me and wake me up on Sunday morning, but customer service rep Helen was adamant that she received "a number of calls from me". I sent her my calls history and asked her to share her but she wouldn't. She then texted me "Ha ha just kidding. Phones are what they are". Followed by another text saying that they won't be moving us on 28/12. That's the level of their customer service! Cancelling a committed order over a text message on Sunday morning. Perhaps the company should refrain it's representatives to call their customers when not sober. If you just needed an excuse to cancel an order you simply write to your customer and be upfront and say that you're sorry that you won't be able to fulfil your promise. Don't make up lies and blame your customer for your unprofessional conduct.

    Great experience moving with these guys. They turned up on time (actually 10 mins early) and had the contents of my one-bed flat loaded up, moved and unloaded again within 2 and a half hours. This included dismantling and reassembling an Ikea bed, which they did very quickly and professionally. They moved everything efficiently and without a fuss - including some musical instruments and a ridiculously large sofa - and were polite and friendly throughout. Would definitely recommend for a stress-free move. Good price too (£192 for all that).

    Ok, don't get me wrong, the moving boys were great, couldn't ask for better, but as for customer service, they were 3 hours late, I tried over 25 times to get in touch to ask what was going on and they just don't pick up, and then when they finally did after 3 hours of trying they have me a straight up lie telling me that the van had had a puncture.... It had not... I checked, the guys just said that they had had a really busy day, makes me angry that the wouldn't just tell me straight what was going and had to lie, not professional at all. Still that being said, the removal guys themselves arent at fault they were great bit no I would not recommend
