I stayed in 2013 and thought the hotel was perfectly old London. I wanted a good night's sleep and a proper bathroom. This hotel did not disappoint. I wasn't looking for 5 star spa type accommodations. I was looking for something quintessential London and affordable, and this hotel delivered. The breakfast was great. Yes the elevator was small, but we have an amazingly fun memory of getting our luggage upstairs and back down again. The bar was great. And the employees were very helpful.

I was traveling with my wife and we arrived to London with all our luggage when we got there we found out that this hotel was closed!!!!!! We had to go to an alternative hotel which was the colonnade hotel. We would have liked to be informed about the change or asked about the change before our trip to London. This way we could have taken the decisions ourselves to either agree to the alternative hotel or get a refund. We had to pay a cab to drive us to the alternative hotel. Terrible experience for us.
