Disappointing experience seeing dermatologist. Rating 2 out of 5 - one for competence, and one for efficient receptionist. However, service and experience was poor vs. consultation fee of almost £200. Initial consultation was approx. 10min after pleasantries, with the dermatologist repeatedly closing off questions in a rushed manner as we neared the 10min mark. Did not answer my questions beyond a quick reply. Offered me a print out of info on my skin issue, but did not explain the issue, for me to read later. It was only when I pressed my questions more than once that I received a brief explanation. Dermatologist was very quick to prescribe further testing, but could have questioned me more, rather than me offering more info about my situation. Very disappointing service for the cost of the consultation fee and did not leave the clinic feeling like I understand my skin problem. Would not recommend to anyone.

Very disappointed was told they treat 95% of cysts at time of appointment send photos and said the cyst was on the knuckle of finger before I went. Attended and got told to go back to GP as the cyst is on a knuckle. So traveled into London saw the lady for two minutes got charged £75 and sent back to NHS. Complete waste of time and money. Emailed to say I’m unhappy and have had no reply.

Visited London Dermatology Clinic a month ago for a pilar cyst removal on my scalp. This cost me £424. The whole process was efficient - I filled out an online form, booked an appointment for later that week via email and had the consultation and cyst removal all done in the same evening. I was out within 40 minutes of arrival! Local anaesthetic was used to cyst removal and my stitches were dissolvable - minimal scarring on my scalp and no sign that the cyst will re-emerge as of now!

Had a mole removal here because of concerns about its rapid growth and itching. All seemed fine until the stitches were removed and then the wound opened up leaving a big red gouge on my arm. Even a month later I still have to wear a plaster over it because it is really unsightly on my arm. The clinic didn't initially reply to my concerns and after calling they did offer me a follow-up, however by this point there is little that could have been done and I'm likely to have a large scar on my arm in the future now. The histology was also not sent to me because the doctor wasn't due back in the clinic for several weeks. They did get another doctor to review and I received a very brief explanation. When I asked for further information I was told that this would be supplied but unfortunately it hasn't been. Overall, really poor customer service and follow-up for what is a very expensive procedure.
