I recently finished my Level 4 at LCBT. It was a changeling experience and was a lot of hard work, but it was such an amazing course. Viv is an excellent lecturer she supported me so much and helped me get through the course. I left the course feeling confident in preforming the treatments and also gained so much knowledge.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I was only at this college for a month as it was that rubbish I left. (Sept 2022-Oct 2022) I studied media makeup and hair level 2 and let me tell you it was complete rubbish. 1) THE KIT The kit for this course was £140, atleast that’s what I payed certain students in my course payed up to £235 for their kit. The college told us about how they were sponsernd by huge brands (MAC, Charlotte tilbury ect.) However when we was given our kits it was like valet face paint. Something you would buy out of a toy shop. The makeup also was only good for light skin (white people) the makeup was not inclusive. the foundation would go pink on brown skin. NO KIT FOR HAIR. The hair equipment in the room was okay but mostly broken. 2) STAFF The staff at this college seemed nice. Seemed. For the first week, the staff were nice and welcoming. After the first week all of a sudden it was thought I wasn’t talking to the same person. Our lecturer who I won’t name, was very very rude and passive aggressive. During demos if you asked why she used that method or why she placed it in that area ect. She would be very rude and start saying all you do is talk over and be rude and ask too many questions. Then when she asked me to step outside she said she had anxiety and that it’s hard for her to do this. But she had singled me out and shouted at me because I asked questions she didn’t care about how that made me feel. Respectfully I don’t think she should be working there as she also spoke a lot about her self rather than the course. 3) LOCATION I believed that the location was great. However the alleyway where the actual college is based was mostly covered in people under the influence of drugs and alcohol which made myself and a lot of the girls concerned as we finished at 5pm and it usually would be getting dark. We was told by our lecturer to keep our phones out of site as there where slot of people snatching phones. Myself and another student had gone to get lunch when she was approached by a man who I could only assume was under the influence of drugs and cornered her then I told him to go away or I would call police we reported it to the college and the police where called. However no further action by the college was taken to make this area more safe. This made all the students including myself feel uncomfortable, scared and worried. 4) BULLYING Not just me but 3 other students who I obviously won’t name where bullied for many reasons such as the skills they had in the course, or being bullied because of there financial situations or the fact they didn’t look the same and was bullied for being ‘WIERDOS’ this was also a main reason I left. A few girls from other courses who I knew externally left due to this reason and other reasons. Please don’t not Go here it’s a ‘catfished’ college the whole college is pathetic Also TO THE LCBT DO NOT RESPOND TO MY REVIEW BECAUSE YOU WONT ACTUALLY DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT

I’ve been attending LCBT for about 6 months and it’s been an amazing experience. My tutor Dionne gave us a breakdown of what the course will cover and what to expect with Level 3 Beauty Therapy certification. She went into detail and depth about electrical facials, electrical body treatment and more. She opened ours eye to all the things we could do and to all the opportunity’s that’s out there waiting for us. She always told us not to limit ourself and to believe in yourself. I kid you not, Dionne is phenomenal. The course got hard at times but she was there being supportive, seriously encouraging and so patient. Honestly couldn’t have asked for a better tutor she made the whole experience wonderful and fun to learn. Dionne is one of the best tutors out there.

I am so grateful I came to this college. I studied ITEC in Beauty Therapy and my lecturer was Lisa Parris. She was remarkable, very professional, precise with the techniques and on point with appearance. I learnt so much in such a short space of time with her and can gladly say I passed my course, in fact the entire class did. All the teachers are lovely there, Viv who has a wonderful banter, Alex who is lovely and calm by nature Sophie who was so supportive, just to mention a few. I would like to say, Lisa thank you, you made this experience wonderful for me and your hard work will never be overlooked. Evelyn

I learned so much over the duration of my course and it was definitely worth the over an hour commute for such a good service. Also, the college in in a great location, easy access to oxford street which was perfect for breaks :)
