This place always ran behind. The admin staff where helpful. First doctor very hostile and rude during consultation his name was Professor Munday. Forgets we are customers. Second doctor I was pleased with until I asked for a reissuing of a prescription that had expired. 300 quid for the compliment then when I asked if it could be done cheaper as it was just a prescription and symptoms had not changed I was suddenly informed they patient doctor relationship had collapsed. Just a women throwing a tantrum that was it. Wrote an emails engaging in the complaints procedure and still waiting for a response. No further on with my issue but my insurance been thumped and I was dumped. To full of their own self importance. Tin pot gods!

I have been a patient of Mr Rick Popert over the past year and I have found him and the whole team at London Bridge Urology to be excellent. I feel Mr Popert has provided me with treatment that was targeted to met my needs and expectations. I feel that appointments have been thorough and issues were dealt with in detail as and when they arose. I understand this approach might have a knock-on effect on timings and have always been more than happy to wait if there was a delay, knowing that when I was seen, my appointment would cover everything that was necessary. Would recommend LBU without reservation.

Have tried to make a appointment with a consultant on 4 occasions was told i will be called back by someone. No communication what do ever despicably service, i would have appreciated a call even if there is no availability. It really makes me think how badly some practices are run. Its very unfortunate as many of the consultants are fantastic but i believe are let down by the running of the center

I had HoLEP surgery by Mr Peter Acher recently. I was taken care of like a King! The surgery was under general anaesthesia. I felt no pain at all throughout the post op recovery apart from mild irritation due to the catheter. Thankfully I had none of the expected HoLEP side effects, no doubt as a direct result of the exceptional surgical skills of Mr Acher. He was in and out without leaving a trace. I now have a flow to rival any 15 year old. I found Mr Acher to be very knowledgeable, thorough, empathetic, with excellent bedside manners. He had explained the surgery and the possible downsides very clearly. Should have had the surgery years ago! I thoroughly recommend him.

I would put zero if there was the option. The medical care I have received has got me back in remission, which was the purpose and I'm thankful for the medical care. However, whenever I have dealt with Alex for appointments or blood forms I have had issues 100% of the time. Sent to the wrong hospital, have to call multiple times for him to send blood forms. It's not incompetence. It's arrogant lazyness. It's reached the point that I will be asking to be referred elsewhere

Like an earlier patient who also read, in my view, the totally unjustified complaints by a small number of patients about the administration and appointments delays I also feel compelled to put the record straight. I attended the Shard outpatient clinic a number of times re: very enlarged prostate and prostate cancer and so far had a biopsy and a 3 hour HoLEP op both performed by Mr Rick Popert. I cannot praise him and all his staff highly enough for the quality of care received and in my case a very successful outcome with minimum disruption to my other activities. I remain very active at 82 years of age. I personally think it is a very small price to pay to have a 20/30 mins delay on an appointment when you gain access to top surgeons/oncologists of worldwide renown. I am sure that the priorities of the surgeons/oncologist are to investigate each patient thoroughly and do the best for them. It is very difficult to forecast the time needed for individual patients. This is not an ordinary office environment when schedules can be kept to the minute. I am writing this review after my latest meeting with Mr Popert early this afternoon at the Shard clinic. The elderly gentleman next to me was attending his first Popert meeting on advice of his neighbour. I told him it was a good decision and that he will be in very good hands which is the thing which ultimately matters most. M. Merlet

I felt compelled to review the practise after seeing a few negative comments. Quite simply, the practise saved my life and did so with nothing but the higest standards of professionalism and clinical excellence. After surgery, Rick Popert came in at the weekend to chat through how things were going and I could not have felt better looked after. Yes, I have waited 20 minutes after my alloted appointment time on a few occasions, but I would seriously question whether that should be the criteria for judging a medical practise. Would recommend very highly.

My father in law was cared for by Rick Popert and had focused brachytherapy seeds implanted for Prostate Cancer. The care and attention he received was fantastic, Rick was so disarming and took time to explain everything in simple english. When my father in law came round after the operation it was like he'd been given a new lease of life. Thank you so much for looking after him.
