As a wine shop, there's always great advice and an excellent selection - from beautiful Croatian, Armenian and Uruguayan wines to the standard bottles you'd expect to find. As a bar, Loki is the only bar I know of with self-service machines (that let you try tiny amounts as well as full glasses) where all the wines taste perfectly fresh. A really nice place to equip yourself for people coming round, or to spend an evening out.

A fabulous bar with an easy to use self-service system from the wine wall. The staff are friendly and always happy to help. As well as the amazing wine selection, I can highly recommend the charcuterie board. Prices are reasonable too, with glasses to suit every budget. And with the tram extended to Edgbaston, it is now so much easier to reach Loki and the neighbouring businesses too

Staff are really welcoming, warm and patient. Radu knows exactly what you would like and not like and unlike many arrogant and impatient wine staff I’ve met, he takes the time to explain things and has recommended good wines for the buck.

Really lovely experience. We enjoyed the wine which was on tap so you could try as many as you like in taster, small or large glass via a prepaid card. Food was wonderful, lovely atmosphere and staff. Also a large wine shop you could buy to take home or enjoy in the bar. Well worth a visit!
