To me and the wife it was just so relaxing, Peaceful and quiet. Definitely would come here again. Everyone helpful and friendly, there if needed. Rooms: Perfect not to clustered. Nearby activities: Any amount, it's in Cumbria so you've got a lot to do and see.

Went with my wife and four year old daughter. Just what we needed as life has been very busy. All I can really say is home from home. Comfortable, clean, cosy and very warm with the burner on. It was raining a little and a great addition is the covered balconies to the front. My daughter loved the stable door and freedom to go off and play in a safe and stunning environment. Only drawback was the road, with it being winter with no leaves and greenery on the trees, the road is visible and audible, however it won't stop me returning in May. Highly recommend as a base to explore further.

Great place to stay. Kids loved the animals on the farm and the facilities were superb. Really peaceful and quite with great links to the surrounding area. Definitely a place worth visiting.

Just stayed here for 2 nights. Couldn't fault this cosy little lodge. Animals were delightful & so close to us. Wine & fresh flowers left for us when we arrived. Such friendly owners which let us in early too. We will definitely be back! Thank you!
