I needed some ridge tiles for a Rosemary tile roof completed for my daughter. After shopping around on the internet I stumbled across Lofthouse Roofing Supplies and found the perfect ridge tiles with finials. Adele was a great help in determining tile type and stock availability, and price was around half that I’d seen elsewhere! Great find and excellent value. Initial service was helpful, however the quality of the slates supplied were incredibly poor. Ordered 600 slates, a minimum of 50% of these are broken, or rotten to use a phrase. The slates were of such a quality that you can put your thumb through them and break by hand. We feel they have taken advantage of people not in the trade and sold any rubbish they could, that said even those in the trade might not check each and everyone of the 600. Happily blamed the haulage company for the damage as they restacked the slates. Since using this firm we have visited other yards and spoken to several in the trade. The haulage was not the cause it's simply substandard and poor quality 'end of life' slates. Would use caution if your looking to buy from these as the after sales is poor and they will simply pass blame and walk away.
