The perfect car buying experience! I have delayed this review as I was a firm believer that if some thing appears too good to be true, beware! I am so happy to report this is not always the case. We purchased a BMW M4 DCT in January 2023, which is an amazing, fast car, which has exceeded our expectations. We travelled from North Wiltshire to Lodge Motors to view a stunning blue Mercedes E350 cabriolet. We had an appointment with Steve, who we cannot say enough good things about.. On arriving, first impressions of the garage was perfect: clean, tidy, well stocked with a varied selection well chosen performance vehicles , all immaculately presented. Steve welcomed us and explained the car we went to view had acquired a cracked windscreen which was waiting to be replaced the following day, he gave us the keys and left us to look round the car and explore alone. There was no pressure sale, no urgency to rush us into a buy, we were given all the space and time we required. Whilst we were sat in the Mercedes, my husband took a shine to the BMW M4 DCT which was parked close..to cut a long story short, we ended up changing our interest to the BMW instead of the Mercedes. Steve didn’t mind at all, we sorted the insurance details and he gave us the keys to take a drive….the M4 even had enough fuel in it to allow us to drive further than the end of the road! Steve advised of a route to take for the test drive and waited back at the garage for us to return. We were not PX’ing a car so he had no security comfort sat at the garage in case we didn’t return, the trust offered was appreciated and respected. The BMW was presented professionally, and in amazing condition. We decided that it was the car for us and agreed to purchase it, after another period of being left to ponder our thoughts by Steve. Again, there was no rush to pin us into buying the car, our experience is something a lot of car sales garages could learn from. We collected the car a week later, the change over of ownership was effortless by Steve’s approach and preparation before we arrived. We were told any problems at all and to contact Steve straight away..and off we went in our beautiful M4. That was 4 months ago, I have waited to post this review so that I could be accurate regarding any after sales concerns or issues with the car. It’s a 2016 plate and a little older than we would usually purchase so we thought we may experience a few after sale car gremlins 🙃 Turns out we had nothing to worry about and Steve was spot on when he told us what a great car we had purchased and it’d cause us no problems…it is a great performance car which we love. We are looking forwards to returning to Lodge Motors to purchase our next car when the time comes. We wouldn’t go anywhere else now, the relaxed, trusting and professional service made the experience so much more enjoyable and the quality of the cars in stock is second to none! If you are in the market for a performance car, you have to visit this garage, you’ll be missing out if you don’t! Well worth driving a distance to visit!! Steve, thank you for everything, loved every part of our experience at Lodge motors and you made that experienced special!

Let down by after sales service. Sales person only mentioned the missing second key once the transaction was complete. Then took three months, half a dozen phone calls and lots of chasing to finally resolve.

Nothing but praise for Steve and the team at Lodge Motors. Very relaxed approach. The car was presented immaculately. Test drove and decided to buy the car- it was ready to collect within 4 days. This was once Steve had ensured a new MOT had been carried out and any servicing requirements completed with the Audi main dealership. The aftercare was exceptional too with Steve going above and beyond to address an issue that was no fault of Lodge Motors but required Audi input. To save me the inconvenience of going to my local Audi dealership, Steve arranged collection of the car from my home address, a loan car in the interim and then the return of my car once Audi had addressed the issue. I cannot recommend Steve and the team at Lodge Motors enough and very much look forward to future business with them.

Spoke to a very rude gentleman who was patronising and didn’t seem interested in selling a car to me. Disappointing as his car was the perfect spec for me and I was willing to travel over 250miles to collect it! Salesman also tried to explain that I was wrong and that it was fine for a £50k+ car not to be serviced every year (even when he tried to lie and say it had just been at BMW earlier in the week - which it hadn’t - which I caught him out on) Take your money elsewhere
