A very disappointing experience! Turned up at the time we booked and queued to get in, then shown to a table. Waiter arrived after 10 minutes and didn’t know what Petit Chablis was, he asked us to spell it for him. We ordered our food at this point. He returned 5 minutes later and said they didn’t have any. No problem we ordered soft drinks and some water for the table. A couple of couples arrived after us and ordered and got frustrated with how long drinks were taking to get to them. After 50 minutes two plates of food arrived but not what was ordered so they were sent away a few minutes later they turned back up and the last of the tables in the area said they were theirs. After another 5 minutes we caught the attention of the staff who asked what the problem was (literally) we politely said we had ordered starters an hour ago and we hadn’t received anything. 10 minutes later the staff came back and said they don’t know what the kitchen was doing but it would be another 5 to 15 minutes. We got up and left, at least the guy waived the charge for the soft drinks! The restaurant is near a part of the city called the Shambles, which seems rather appropriate. Poor all round sadly

Food absolutely fantastic but service with drinks terrible. Waited approx 45 minutes for first order of drinks had already eaten starters and when waiter arrived saying there had been a mix up he gave us additional glass of bubbly to say sorry. That was fine so we ordered more drinks when the starters were cleared from table then after receiving and eating main courses and waiting another 10 mins (so waiting approx another 30 mins for 2 drinks) decided enough was enough and asked for bill.
