Had our Karndean Country Oak flooring fitted a year ago. We had asked for someone to come and re-glue a couple of pieces which had lifted. After many calls and emails we did have a nice young man to do the job. Only thing is it had lifted a gain. Tried to contact Gavin to no avail. We also asked for some spares a year ago as it was a very exacting fit and should we have damage whilst getting the washing machine out etc the whole project will be ruined. Very quick to take your money and after sales is rubbish.

Floorcraft damaged our new kitchen- gouging and scratching the cabinetry when laying an Amtico floor for us. They paid for the repainting but we were amazed at how little care they took in our home. They were unable to make the herringbone design meet either side of our kitchen island and so put a border through the middle of the design. We were advised that this was the only option so agreed but it ruined the effect. On completion we complained and asked for it to be rectified- this was not well received. The owner, Gavin, refused to acknowledge the error and said it happens a lot. Ultimately, we had to involve Amtico. We are now happy with our floor but the process was long. Floorcraft had no interest in customer satisfaction and claims on their website to 'maintain the highest levels of professionalism' and that 'nothing less than perfection will do' is in our experience, inaccurate. We would not recommend Gavin and had a very stressful experience with Floorcraft.

We have also experienced the staff shut in office problem on each occasion we have visited. Nevertheless, we went ahead as they are local. However, now that we have problems with the floor that they put down, they do not want to know. We had luxury vinyl flooring put down that is coming up two years later and I've simply asked for advice. I was told to send an email with photos which i did and have now spent many weeks chasing up just to be ignored. We had over 60 sq metres of vinyl put down as well as other flooring so we spent quite a lot. Shame we have not been treated to an after sales service of any kind as for me, that's what makes a company. It's even more of a shame seeing as we live a few miles up the road.

A round trip of 40 miles to the showroom. On arrival (a Saturday) it was deserted and freezing cold, appreciate it's winter (8c) but it was colder inside than outside and unpleasant to hang about for any length of time. Staff were shut away in the office with the door closed and did their best to not make eye contact and completely ignored us while typing away on the computer. So on the basis customer service didn't seem to be the priority we left, shame as we were looking for 63m2 of flooring and wanted to support a local business but first impressions count.
