FAQ

What is your experience and training in craniosacral therapy?

At Liverpool Osteopathic Physiotherapy Clinic, our therapists have extensive training and experience in craniosacral therapy. We have completed in-depth courses and workshops in this specific area of manual therapy, and we stay up to date with the latest research and techniques.

How does craniosacral therapy differ from other types of manual therapy?

Craniosacral therapy focuses on the movement and balance of the cerebrospinal fluid that surrounds the brain and spinal cord. It uses gentle touch to release restrictions and improve the function of the central nervous system. Unlike other types of manual therapy, craniosacral therapy can address the whole body and is particularly effective for treating conditions related to stress and tension.

Can craniosacral therapy be helpful for my specific condition or symptoms?

Craniosacral therapy can be beneficial for a wide range of conditions and symptoms, including headaches, chronic pain, anxiety, and digestive issues. Our therapists will assess your individual needs and create a customized treatment plan to address your specific concerns.

How many sessions will I need and what can I expect during a typical session?

The number of sessions required will vary depending on your condition and individual needs. During a typical session, you can expect to lie down fully clothed while the therapist uses light touch to evaluate and address restrictions in your body. Sessions usually last around 60 minutes.

What is your approach to integrating craniosacral therapy with other treatments or therapies I may be receiving?

At Liverpool Osteopathic Physiotherapy Clinic, we believe in an integrated approach to healthcare. We will work closely with you and any other healthcare providers you may be seeing to create a comprehensive treatment plan that addresses all aspects of your health. We may recommend combining craniosacral therapy with other manual therapies, exercise, or lifestyle changes to achieve the best possible outcomes for you.

Rang up to book a colonic and they don’t do them any more. Also wanted a Hopi ear candle which they also don’t do any more. A cash only clinic in 2023...... Also find it odd, that when someone posts a negative review about this place, that loads of positive ones follow.....

What a clinic! Can never get through on the phone. When you do get through you are told they no longer do certain treatments as they are in a “transitioning period”?! You can say that again as the staff turnover is very high which is very telling. The recent price increase is also ridiculous considering the place looks like it hasn’t had any money spent on it for many years. I’ll take my custom elsewhere. Thank you for your response. I did get through in the end, but the receptionist was anything but happy to help. (I see you have another review about your rude receptionist which was left 3 months ago) As the staff turnover, you never speak to the same receptionist twice, and the clinic told me you have had 2 therapists leave in the past month. So the appointment I wanted was not able to be booked. I don’t need to look at google photos, as I’ve been in the clinic and saw it first hand and your prices do not reflect this. As well as your reception staff needing training, I would suggest you take a course yourself in grammar and spelling.

I have been coming since December last after I slipped a disc in my back. I was the worst pain I have ever experienced. I came to see Mr Shanay it was the best thing I have done he give two sessions that week as it was the week before Christmas which helped greatly and I was booked back in for when they opened up after the New Year I need four more weekly sessions. And now I have coming once a month. I can’t thank him enough for all he has done for me.
