Update 22.03.23: no shuttle bus from disabled to main entrance meant I literally nearly killed myself. You've put an outdoor gym in that NOBODY was touching. That land could've had a good few disabled spaces on (many of us need your services because of mobility impact). There's grass areas where that exercise stuff could've gone. First time ever I had to use full seat walker and stop over 5 times. I was a mess before I got through the doors!😡 Clinic was silly overrun, I could've had a phone call and the tests ordered could've been done locally. I was told by him that I NEEDED to be seen by consultant and although the junior Dr was lovely - they ended up having to go spend half hour with him about me - I didn't even see him. Like rest of NHS it's lost the personal touch too. I felt like just a number. Part hospital (no emergency service so keel over and wait for ambulance), part gym, part coffee shop, part building site - just mayhem. That scream screen in outpatients that many weren't noticing - we were chatting to other patients who wanted to shut it up. That waiting room felt like an airport. There're the odd regular faces that really go above and beyond. Couple asked me initially if I was OK - I likely looked like death after that trip. Communication is still a disaster. Bloods were arranged and nobody informed the right people. Sat like a lemon until someone asked what I was waiting for! This awful communication nearly killed my Mum when she had valve replaced there and they were VERY lackadaisical when she went downhill. To the point she crashed and needed emergency intervention (suprised the ward didn't ring 999). LHCH was one of the trusts I visit that I rated highly. But mistakes and non-logical decisions are now overtaking the positives and destroying the experience. I don't think I'd return for face to face unless REALLY necessary. I'd try arranging testing locally. Going out and the new disabled badge scanner for parking 😂 🤣 😠😂 - just charge us a set fee. Everyone pressed for help. We know how it works but the scanner can't read the badge code in the bright sunlight. Funny how it worked once we all (huge queue) pressed button for help. It was just another disaster experience. I genuinely will do all I can to not physically go near.

Was difficult to navigate. But think when I go back for second visit I'll be fine. Plenty of refreshment areas. Nice and clean.

Outstanding! I had a 5 day stay on Birch ward in Liverpool heart and chest, and I will always be so grateful for the care & treatment I received here after my multiple cardiac arrests in December 2022. I'm 26 years old, had never had to stay a night in hospital before, equally had never had any surgery or even stitches for that matter, so I was very frightened at first. I had to have an ICD fitted which was very daunting... however all consultants, surgeons, nurses, doctors, chefs, porters, cleaners... every individual there where friendly, informative and reassuring. Nothing was too much to ask, everything was pristine, the food was incredible and they cater for all dietary requirements with plenty of options. I felt very comfortable, safe and assured during my entire time at LHCH. AMAZING!
