What a wonderful place! Sally and Mike (and their cats and dogs and chickens and horses) made us feel at home immediately. The welcome was warm, the breakfasts were amazing, coming in late after a wedding to a roaring fire in the log burner.... all made our stay memorable and marvellous. The rooms are very comfortable, the location is beautiful and Sally and Mike couldn't do enough to look after us. We hope to return one day soon and we can't recommend it highly enough. Thank you Sally and Mike for a really great few days filled with sunshine and laughter.

Very disappointed To go for the plusses first, the welcome was warm, which was a relief after having difficulty to find Tidebrook. The breakfast was very good. We had one fresh egg each but lashings of mushrooms and tomatoes with an endless supply of toast all washed down with a bottomless pot of GOOD coffee. On the other hand, the bedroom was small but just about manageable. We needed to move a bed and were astounded by the miscellaneous bits and dead pests found plus a thick layer of dust on the skirting board. It appears that nothing is moved to be cleaned and anything above head height was ignored as were the corners. Moving unfixed objects revealed disappointing results. Coffee mugs were dirty. One was very heavily stained with a thick crust ring left from previous use. COVID-19. I would say, non-compliant. Examples Tea, Coffee sugar etc are all in refilled jars passed from one occupant to the next. Bathroom came with a large bottle of shower wash and a pump bottle of soap. Supplies used by one guest after the other are not compliant. Worst of all, the proprietor was not in the least bit interested when I started to point out these deficits, in fact she was very huffy.
