FAQ

What is your staff to child ratio?

Our staff to child ratio is based on the age of the children. For under 2s, we have a ratio of 1 staff member to 3 children. For 2-3 year olds, it is 1 staff member to 4 children. For 3-5 year olds, it is 1 staff member to 8 children. We always ensure that we have enough staff to provide high-quality care for all children.

What is your policy on sick children attending the creche?

We ask that parents do not bring their child to the creche if they are unwell. If a child becomes unwell during their time at the creche, we will isolate them and contact the parent or emergency contact to collect them as soon as possible.

Are your staff trained in first aid and early childhood education?

Yes, all of our staff are trained in paediatric first aid and hold relevant qualifications in early childhood education. We also provide ongoing training and development to ensure that our staff are up-to-date with the latest best practices.

What activities do you offer for children of different ages?

We offer a range of age-appropriate activities, such as messy play, story time, outdoor play, and sensory exploration. We also provide opportunities for children to develop their creativity, problem-solving, and social skills through play-based learning.

How do you communicate with parents regarding their child's progress and daily activities?

We use an online system called Tapestry to share updates and photos with parents about their child's daily activities and progress. We also have regular parent-teacher meetings and are always available to speak with parents in person or over the phone.
