FAQ

What is your experience in caring for children and how long have you been an assistante maternelle?

We have a team of experienced assistante maternelles at Little Men and Misses Childrens Day Nursery. Our team members have varying levels of experience in caring for children, ranging from a few years to several decades. We ensure that all of our team members are properly trained and certified to provide high-quality care for the children in our nursery.

What is your daily schedule/routine for the children in your care?

Our daily schedule/routine for the children in our care is designed to provide them with a structured and stimulating environment. We incorporate a range of activities into our daily schedule, including outdoor play, arts and crafts, story time, and music and movement. We also provide regular meals and snacks throughout the day to ensure that the children are properly nourished.

How do you handle discipline and behavior issues with the children?

We believe in positive reinforcement and use a range of techniques to encourage good behavior in the children in our care. We use praise and rewards to encourage positive behavior, and we redirect negative behavior by providing alternative activities or using time-outs when necessary. We also work closely with parents to ensure consistency in our approach to discipline and behavior issues.

What is your policy for sick days/vacation time?

We have a clear policy for sick days and vacation time for both our staff members and the children in our care. If a staff member is sick, we have contingency plans in place to ensure that there is adequate coverage for the children. We also provide a set number of vacation days for each staff member, and we work with parents to ensure that their child's care is not disrupted during these times.

How do you communicate with parents about their child's daily activities and progress?

We believe in open and transparent communication with parents about their child's daily activities and progress. We use a range of communication methods, including daily reports, parent-teacher conferences, and regular updates via email or phone. We also encourage parents to ask questions and provide feedback about their child's care, and we are always available to discuss any concerns or issues that arise.

I used to work for the company at the site at Roman Way. The nursery itself is beautiful and every activity is thought through and planned around the children and their needs. It mixes children of all ages together which I think is good for the children and allows them to be social with children either smaller or older than them. The only thing i can say that let it down, was the amount that staff would speak to each other instead of concentrating on the children, also the topic of conversation sometimes needed to be 18+. Other than that, a lovely place to work for.
