FAQ

What is your signature dish and what makes it unique?

Our signature dish is the Thieboudienne, a traditional Senegalese dish made with fish, vegetables, and rice. What makes it unique is our house-made spice blend that gives it a distinct flavor and the fact that it is cooked in a large communal pot, which adds to the communal dining experience.

Do you offer vegetarian or vegan options on your menu?

Yes, we offer several vegetarian and vegan options on our menu, including a vegetable yassa and a vegan version of our Thieboudienne made with tofu instead of fish.

What are your hours of operation and do you take reservations?

Our hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 5pm to 10pm, Friday and Saturday from 5pm to 11pm, and Sunday from 4pm to 9pm. We do not take reservations, but we recommend arriving early as we operate on a first-come, first-served basis.

Can you accommodate large groups or events?

Yes, we can accommodate large groups or events. We have a private dining room that can seat up to 30 people, and we also offer catering services for off-site events.

Are your ingredients locally sourced or organic?

We strive to source our ingredients locally whenever possible, and we prioritize working with local farmers and suppliers. While we do not exclusively use organic ingredients, we do prioritize using high-quality, fresh ingredients in all of our dishes.

An absolute must for food lovers in such a nice space! Chef Khadim and his Little Baobab team put as much love to the food as they share with customers. I went there with two friends, and we all loved the experience. Tasty Senegalese food that cannot be found anywhere else in London, presented in a beautiful way, accompanied by delicious baobab or bissap juice. Thank you so much for bringing these flavours to London!

The Little Baobab pop ups are a great event - delicious food (my favourite is the thiebou dienne), warm & friendly staff, wonderful atmosphere & decor, & great music. Looking forward to checking out their new space at Peckham Levels & excited this means that I’ll be able to eat their food any day ! Vegetarian options: They have a delicious meal called mafe which is a hearty veggie (& vegan) option! Like a thick peanut stew with root veggies. Most of the starters are vegetarian too, and some are vegan.

Had the fish, jollof rice, some stew veg and tamarind sauce. Honestly I’m craving it again, just to see no delivery😅 I will have to get dressed and go down there! There were vegetarian options, open dining area in Peckham Levels where there is wheelchair access, stairs, lifts, parking and is child friendly. Two bars serving soft drinks and alcoholic beverages

Amazing gem of a place, never had such a delightful experience. Smelled like comfort and my senses overloaded with spices and flavour, I was very lucky to meet the proud executive chef/entrepreneur ( khadim) he is very insightful, knowledgeable and heartwarming. His Senegalese cooking has open my taste buds to try many more cuisines I never dreamt of trying. I recommend giving it a go and let your taste bids go travelling to an exotic and comforting tune.
