An item was posted to me (signed for) from Grafton Post Office in Marton Cum Grafton, N Yorkshire on Wednesday, 9th November 2022 and it has since gone missing. On speaking to someone at Grafton PO, I was told that the post is collected and taken to the sorting office in Leeman Rd, York. But, when I spoke with someone from Royal Mail customer services, I was told that the item had gone to Leeds, Moor Town sorting office. Royal Mail do not have a clue as to where my item is and both Leeds and York have a similar appalling record of customer service going by the online reviews/comments. Another awful factor that I was not aware of is that a signed for item is not tracked. So there is a record of the item being accepted by the post office but in between, until to hopefully an item reaches its destination, there is no tracking in place.
