I've purchased multiple pairs of shoes from the Brogue Trader where they gave excellent customer service but where they truly shined was when the Staff Member 'Morgan' offered to help me out by paying for my parking when I left my wallet at home. Truly trusting and helpful individuals with great salesmanship. 5/5 Will definitely shop again!

  Bought a pair of wonderful shoes with my husband here. Luke helped us out in the process and did an absolutely wonderful job. They truly are very knowledgeable about shoes and we were both very impressed. And once we left, my husband left his credit card at the store and Luke came running after us to give it back. What wonderful people and what a wonderful service. We highly recommend this branch of Loakes in Leeds.

  I recently had my first experience buying premium shoes in Loakes and was very pleased with the quality of service. The service team (Luke) had exceptional knowledge and really helped find a fit to my difficult foot shape. Luke was incredibly patient and gave great advice on not only finding the right shoe but also caring for it in the future. Another great quality of the team, which is rarely encountered in the world of sales, is that they do genuinely want to find the right product for you rather than extract the most money from your wallet. Once the shoes got home they wore in just as they said they would. Great style and comfort once worn in. Would certainly recommend.

  Both visits have been superb! First went in before Christmas to find a pair of boots for casual and smart work wear boots. Luke and Dan welcomed me into the store and we quickly built a good relationship. Tried on multiple different styles and Dan listened to what I had to stay whilst giving his good honest opinion. Never once did I feel pressured into buying a pair of boots, needed to have a think of which ones I wanted. Went back two days later to purchase my boots and Luke was there to help make the purchase, giving me care instructions upon leaving. I went back in yesterday to find some black formal shoes, Luke and Dan were yet again there to welcome me back. Tried on one pair but they just didn’t fit right so Luke suggested another to which were a perfect shape. These were slightly bigger than my previous pair so Luke suggested I try them with insoles to see if they fit any better to which he was right and fit perfect. I’ve worked in a customer service environment for some time now and recognise good service when I see it. I am more inclined to buy from somewhere when the service is good and here is where you’ll find it! Luke and Dan are two proper gents who will always look after you! I cannot fault their service. Thanks as always guys!

  Called in after a personal recommendation as I needed some Oxfords for a wedding and couldn't have been more disappointed. As I entered a lady was at the counter making a complaint and asking for a refund and was getting refused. A fella approached me and we got chatting and I said I wanted some black Oxfords to go with a grey suit for a wedding. He asked why I wanted oxfords and I said I was told they would be the smartest, he asked where I heard that, I said the Internet to which he replied 'there's a big wide world out there' then went about trying to sell me a pair anyway. The two pairs I liked didn't quite fit me right, lifting/rubbing. He tried to get them to fit by putting inserts in a pair but for £200 I expect a pair to correctly fit without them. Then he said it was simply because I wasn't used to wearing shoes for a few years and that shoes can take up to 10 wears before they break in properly! No shoe seller with any integrity would say something like that. He went upstairs to get a different size and came down telling me that I would also need cedar wood shoe trees. Caution, say you're getting married and pound signs start flashing with some people. I asked him what was up with the lady who came in earlier and he said 'what will my boss think if the till was empty because I had to give someone a refund'.... My advice, go to Charles Clinkard, no pressure, they stock Loake shoes and other top makes to try on. There's also plenty of other shoe shops in Leeds worth trying before going here.
