I've known proprietor, 'Dairylea Dave's bars for over 15 years. Every venue he's taken charge of, he's put on the Manchester entertainment map. The Lion's Den is no exception - playing host to Manchester's favourite mainstream radio station, XS Manchester, for a major exclusive LIVE event recently. They liked it so much that it is now their venue if choice for their most important event this year ... Their XSMas party - which is to be broadcast live with celebrity DJ sets. Hey, The Lion's Den even has its OWN station, 'Manchester Radio' and as a lot of Mr Foran's proceeds from many of these special events go to good causes - I don't begrudge them the long(ish) walk along the Deansgate Mews to get there.
