She planned and designed the interiors of our ground floor spaces (entrance hall, cloakroom, living room, dining room, extension) as well as the master bedroom, walk in wardrobe and bathroom suite. She had a number of preparatory conversations with us to find out what our needs and tastes are and how we would like to all live in our family home. She has impeccable taste, creative ideas and works within defined budgets. Very responsive, patient and genuinely fun to work with. We had the pleasure of working with Alex and Holly this year and couldn’t recommend them highly enough. We worked with them on a wide re-decoration project for the ground floor of our Victorian house, covering two reception rooms and our newly extended modern kitchen. Our brief was fairly broad: update all three rooms with a more coordinated modern look, give the back lounge increased ‘purpose’, and soften the look of kitchen. Alex and Holly spent considerable time with us in the early stages, making sure they understood our goals for the project, and also our design preferences. It was an iterative process, but they did very well at learning at each meeting and conversation and continuing to improve the proposition. They are also good at working to a budget, and often gave us low and no-so-low options for things. They have a real skill in mixing cheaper options, with a splash of more expensive items, to create a cohesive look that looks bespoke and not cheap. The team are very efficient, and work quickly and tirelessly to make sure their customers are happy. Above all, we think they are very talented designers and the final proof is that we are absolutely delighted with the final outcome, which is incredibly spot-on to the original brief, and the early design meetings.

When we moved into our new home, my wife and I weren’t sure if we needed an interior designer. In fact, it turned out to be one of the wisest investments we made! We know what we like but Holly and Alex helped us translate our ideas into a really cohesive scheme that we could refer back to when if we started to veer off course. We loved looking at the moodboards they created and watching the space take shape as the project progressed. In hindsight, we totally underappreciated how much work was involved in sourcing everything, managing the various trades people, timeline and budget for the renovation of a 5 bedroom house. Alex and Holly were crucial to us sticking to our schedule and budget. We are so grateful to them for helping us realise our dream home. Holly and Alex suggested lots of clever design solutions that we would never have thought of. They were calm and professional throughout the project and really listened to our requirements. We wanted to retain the original character of the property but also make the house work for us on a practical level- as a family. Canham & Hart delivered above and beyond and we couldn’t recommend them highly enough.
