Having linked up with Lindfield URC via Zoom at the beginning of the COVID lockdown in March 2020 it was our pleasure to be able to worship in person in September this year. What a welcome we received, not just from those we had forged closer links with but everyone. We felt as if we had come home. True and inspirational people led by their love of God. We will continue to remain in touch and trust that we may one day visit again. P

I visited your church one Sunday morning recently. I saw a lay preacher pray to God with his hands in his pockets, which I thought odd. I heard language which I have heard year in, year out for seventy-something years but still do not understand. And so I left your service early, hugely disappointed. Once in the street, I found far and away more people outside the church than inside. And that is what made me sad (though not surprised). Those people milling up and down Lindfield high street NEED your truth, you know, but they will never understand that you've got it all the time you retain your pre-scientific, supernatural language. And so they will remain outside.
