I've been a patient at this practice for 40 years and up until COVID kicked off would not have hesitated in giving 5 stars. A brilliant service then. It's so sad to see how much it has changed. The practice nurse is still excellent and the prescription management works well. Like so many other reviewers, I don't seem to be able to get past the gatekeepers to see any of the 2 full time and 8 part time doctors. I've now had to go to a private medical service to get a referral for treatment. I'd like to know how the reviewers who have actually seen a doctor (In one case 'several times'.) managed it. It's noticeable how empty the waiting room always seems to be.

Rang with symptoms told to ring back the next day at 8am as that’s when they release on the day appointments. Was first in the queue. Told by the receptionist to take some benylin. Restated symptoms and duration told that there are no appointments today anyway so nothing she can do (odd as I was first in the queue at the time they said they release the appointments). Started to explain that the person I spoke to yesterday said appointment was best and was cut off /spoken over to say it didn’t matter as no appointments so “go take some benylin and see what happens”. Inconsistent messaging/advice from non healthcare professional, rude and I suspect not telling the truth about appointments.

I can see some good reviews but unfortunately that has not been my experience. Impossible to get an appointment on the rare occasions I have required one. Same day urgent appointments appear to be non existent, have had to previously resort to paying for a private GP service. I have not been able to ever see a doctor in the 3 years I’ve been registered here and am experiencing this again this week. Referred online, to an urgent centre who just turned me away or A&E..

Nice and helpful front desk team; and the doctors are always kind, informative and caring. Recently, I have been going there too often, but I seem to get seen as soon as I arrive. Great service. Everyone is under pressure but work very hard. They whole team to be understood, supported and thanked.

This has been my doctors for 29 years from when I was born. It used to be an amazing doctors surgery. It’s gone down hill since the appointment of the manager a couple of years ago. Awful rude reception staff you just get told to find a different practice if you’re not happy. Doctors are good when you can get to talk or see them.
