We have had a rather stressful experience getting our bridesmaid dresses for our friends wedding. Firstly, the dress we wanted was a red colour and when we tried the dresses on they were in several different shades ranging from the colour we wanted to an almost purple colour which the lady serving us was willing to let us purchase. We were told it is due to the fabric roll and how it’s dyed, I understand this may not be the shops fault but it shouldn’t be a problem. We managed to eventually get three of the same colour one of us did have to compromise and have a smaller one when we would have preferred a larger size and to then be taken in. Then came the alterations and appointments saga. We went for our first fitting for which we were told our appointment was at 7 when it was meant to be at 6, they did manage to squeeze us in for our fitting. Two dresses had very little length off and an additional strap was added which was completely different to the existing strap and was all twisted. We were not advised that the straps would be different or that there would be any issues adding the additional strap. We then made the decision to remove the previous strap and have the thicker strap. We made an appointment for the following Thursday, the bride then got a phone call to say the appointment on Wednesday was missed. One of the bridesmaids was out of the country on the Wednesday so we would not have booked that appointment. When this was highlighted we were told the appointment is not available. I then contacted the shop to arrange an appointment and left messages however no one contacted me. Eventually I contacted the shop through Instagram and got an immediate response and made an appointment for the following Tuesday. To no surprise when we arrived we were told we do not have an appointment. Again they managed to fit us in. We were then disappointed to find the straps were not right and remained twisted. We were advised this was because the material was cut on a bias and tension was causing it to twist. Whilst we appreciate this, we could not understand why 4 straps were perfect and two were not. However, during this appointment we received really good service. The seamstress worked with us for sometime in order to resolve the strap issues and made sure the dresses were perfect. I am unsure if I would recommend Lily’s boutique. The dresses were beautiful however the customer service and alterations caused a lot of stress close to the wedding.

Trying on dresses and eventually purchasing a beautiful prom dress for my daughter was a really lovely experience. There’s a huge selection of dresses, the staff were so helpful and polite, nothing was too much trouble! Lovely atmosphere too! I can’t recommend Lily’s Boutique highly enough!

This boutique was the second place I went to in order to find my dream prom dress after experiencing really poor customer service in another shop, where the staff was rude and you could barely try on any dresses because of the sizing. I was expecting to experience something similar here but I was positively surprised by the warm welcome I received the moment I walked in. The staff at Lily's is amazing, really helpful and kind. The lady that was helping me throughout my search of a prom dress was super helpful and wonderful. If the dress I wanted to try on was not in my size, she always checked if they had my size in stock so I could try it. I ended up finding a prom dress even better than my dream one with the help I received at this boutique. Highly recommend. Thank you Lily's Boutique for your amazing customer service and lovely staff.
