We use interactive whiteboards, tablets, and computers to enhance learning in subjects such as math, science, and language.Do you offer any after-school programs or extracurricular activities for students?
Yes, we offer a variety of after-school programs and extracurricular activities for our students. These include music lessons, dance classes, sports teams, and language classes. How do you assess student progress and provide feedback to parents?
We use a variety of assessment tools, including observation, work samples, and student self-evaluation, to track each child's progress. We provide regular progress reports to parents and hold parent-teacher conferences twice a year to discuss each child's development. What is your approach to discipline and classroom management in the Montessori environment?
At Lilliput Montessori, we believe in a positive, proactive approach to discipline and classroom management. I went to go visit this nursery today as I am looking for a nursery for my little one to attend from August. I arrived at the front door ready with my driving license as every other nursery I have been to have asked for some form of identification, however I rang the buzzer and a lady opened the door. I told her I was in the area and wanted to look around. The lady let me in, no questions asked. She didn’t not even ask for my ID, my name or anything. I was a little bit taken back as there were children in the nursery. Anyways as soon as I entered, the nursery smelt of a farm, like animals and pets. It wanted to make me vomit that’s how bad it was. She showed me the baby room; it was lunch time so they were feeding the children in the corner of the room. One baby was crying her eyes out and instead of calming the child down they continued spoon feeding her. I was sooo utterly disgraced and couldn’t believe what I was seeing. The room was very small and very smelly. Then she showed me the second room, again the children were eating their lunch, this seemed ok but I didn’t bother looking to much into this room as I was soo put off from what I had already seen. The lady who I believe is the new manager didn’t seem to be interested as to whether I was interested, or ask any information about my little one and when I was looking for him to attend etc. Overall, from my visit, the worst nursery I have seen so far. Would never send my child here. Especially with a rude and unfriendly manager who runs the nursery.
