Had mine fitted 4 weeks ago. The pedestrian door rubs the threshold. I've emailed the retailer 4 times and he's forwarded on to you guys, including the director. This has been going for 3 weeks and I've heard nothing from you. Fortunately my partners school friend is a solicitor, so I'm getting advice. Lots of other companies fit these garages, I advise the public to go elsewhere. Literally ZERO back up from Lidget Compton. Grab your money then silence.

DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR LIDGET COMPTON LTD. My husband and I ordered a Lidget Compton Apex Deluxe outbuilding through one of Lidget Compton's approved agents and, as per Lidget Compton's terms and conditions, paid in full for the product prior to delivery and installation. It became evident that the uPVC door and uPVC window frame were damaged either prior to delivery or during the delivery process bur, even worse, the installation was of such poor quality that it has rendered the Apex Deluxe outbuilding unusable. These are just a few of the faults that were discovered on inspection post-installation: 1) The wooden side plates are not sitting on the concrete sections correctly and the joining of these wall plates and the roof timbers is not satisfactory. 2) The uPVC fascia boards and panels are either cut too short or not stood vertical. 3) The uPVC doors and window frames have been drilled into to fasten some wall brackets instead of using handed brackets. These were not installed with any care whatsoever as there are gaps with daylight showing around the damaged door and window frame. Having sent e-mails with photographic evidence to Lidget Compton Ltd, one of the management team advised that their Customer Care Team would be in contact in early January 2022 to make an appointment for an engineer to make a site visit. My husband and I had to chase this up twice until a date was set for early March 2022. What transpired next demonstrates why nobody should go near this company, a Repair Team (which actually included one of the Installation Team involved in the poor workmanship!) arrived with no verbal or written report regarding the extensive repairs required, nor did they have in their possession any replacement parts. After the Repair Team inspected the outbuilding, they stated that they did not have the equipment, necessary replacement parts or the time required to make the repairs. They then took photographs (the same photographs that my husband and I had e-mailed previously to Lidget Compton Ltd!) in order, in their own words, "to cover themselves" and that a site visit by one of the management team was actually required. My husband and I then contacted the Customer Care Team at Lidget Compton Ltd who claimed that the Repair Team were the Engineers and that they were given a written report to complete the repairs. The Customer Care Team claimed that the company were doing 'everything they could to rectify our problem' and that they would be in contact again regarding a new date for the repairs. There was no apology from the company and on questioning the company confirmed that they do not belong to a Trades Association or Trades Ombudsman Scheme, and neither do they have a separate complaints team/liaison service. My husband and I waited for several weeks and, on legal advice, sent a formal letter of complaint requesting to be contacted within 14 days otherwise we would take further action regarding breach of contract under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Not surprisingly, as this company is clearly unprofessional at all levels and seemingly has no regard for the law, my husband and I have heard nothing. Lidget Compton Ltd probably think that we will go away quietly but we are now obtaining quotes from independent builders to rectify the supposed Deluxe outbuilding and will be seeking compensation. OUR ADVICE IS TO USE AN INDEPENDENT BUILDER RATHER THAN LIDGET COMPTON LTD, IT MAY COST SLIGHTLY MORE BUT AT LEAST YOU WILL GET AN OUTBUILDING WHICH HAS BEEN CONSTRUCTED CORRECTLY AND THAT YOU CAN ACTUALLY USE.
