Desperate for a rare and specific Christmas present I spent 2 hours journeying, getting soaked to the skin through heavy rain just to have him close the door in my face, jam his foot behind it and point at a sign saying closed (2.50 hours early). Wont open the door a crack so I can ask when he'll open again, why he's closed early or if he can just be a decent human being and spend 30 seconds helping someone out. Back to ordering something through an online retailer then. This is why the high street is dying.

This is the best stamp shop currently around. Roy has a great selection of stamps available, even better than Stanley Gibbons in a lot of areas, and certainly a lot cheaper. His knowledge is phenomenal and you can easily lose yourself for a couple of hours just talking to him. His stamp shop is his collection and you can tell that stamps are a passion for him. I cannot wait till he reopens so I can spend some money; don’t tell the wife. My dad is a coin collector and has bought some great gold coins off him in the past, although I believe he does not deal in gold coins that much anymore. Pay him a visit. There are not many shops around like this anymore.
