I'm not sure where to start. Dropped in one Saturday, where I was "greeted"/ stared / snarled at, by some miserable woman, who looked at me like I was a criminal. Waited politely until one of the instructors was able to discuss my requirements for my autistic son. I chose this stable due to the link with RDA and the website quote. We are very passionate about helping people with disabilities learn to ride and care for horses. " I was told to email Gayle , which i did and shared some details regarding my son and his needs....after some rather abrupt email back and forth (not sure who it was) we were told to turn up on Saturday afternoon. It would be quiet, and our session would be with an instructor, Gayle, who was used to managing disability rides . When we turned up, once again, the miserable woman was there, giving us looks. I said I had a booking , and she said there wasn't one. Then she found our booking and told me that gayle was teaching someone else and didn't know ehar was going on.. then she walked off. I tried to keep my son entertained, hoping that she'd come back and advise us where to go, but no. We stood around waiting for 20 mins.. Wandering around aimlessly trying to keep our autisric son entertained. We eventually walked over to the sand school where the miserable woman was talking to a woman whose parked car was pointing at the school. The woman then said ( we were now 30 mins into our scheduled time ) that infact the woman in the car was "gayle." we stood around again for 5 mins, then gayle started her car, drove past us, saying she was just going for a wee, then would be right back. She then drove to the end of the field at the end of the grazing fields, parked her car, and sat there for another 10 mins. Didn't get out of her car. At that point, I was so angry I took my child, and we left. It was an absolutely appalling couple of experiences, especially for my disabled son. Complete disorganisation. Miserable and rude staff. Would absolutely not recommend

Great yard, my daughters are very happy here and go every Saturday, they’d be there 24/7 if they could be. They are improving well with their lessons and enjoying helping with the horses.

I was looking for a friendly riding school where my five year old daughter could start learning to ride. Unlike other riding schools, LGB got back to me straight away, and they have been brilliant with her. I also decided to have some lessons after not riding for almost 22 years, and Lou is an amazing instructor. She is really patient, great at knowing how to develop my skills, and I can be honest with her when I’m not feeling as confident. We both look forward to our weekly lessons, and I have already recommended LGB to friends.
