This small grass-only club is tucked away behind the Leisure World courts at the end of Eudo Road. It is open May-Sept, has 9 grass courts & no floodlights (yet). The amenities are good, with clubhouse, indoor loos (inc. disabled) and facilities for cooking and making beverages. The location is pleasant, next to playing fields and lawn bowls clubs. Best of all, the members are welcoming and the atmosphere is laid back and not at all snobbish, unlike some other local clubs. The grass courts are admittedly not the best in the land by a long shot but still very playable; and of course easier on the knees than pounding hard courts. Fees are reasonable and there are teams and tournaments to play in if you like competition.

A really friendly place to enjoy tennis as it was meant to be - outdoors and on grass. May to September, club sessions Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm and Saturdays from 2pm. Membership is inexpensive and members have free use of courts throughout the playing season, so no problems booking a court.
