Had a wonderful experience getting married at Lewes Register Office last week. All the staff were incredibly helpful and worked hard to support our requirements and make sure everything ran smoothly. Our two registrars did a wonderful job of conducting the ceremony and made everything feel so special.

Had a perfect wedding in a beautiful intimate venue. We were made to feel very welcome, were well looked after and made to feel at ease. From the initial enquiry , through the ceremony and afterwards everything was perfect. Would highly recommend. Wheelchair access available.

We had a perfect day at Southover Grange. We got married yesterday in the Evelyn room. Honestly it was absolutely perfect. I chose the venue as we were having an intimate wedding with just close family and Lewes registry office suited our needs perfectly. The Evelyn Room is gorgeous and the colours are lovely. I wanted something more modern, not the dark woods and reds of more traditional registry offices. What really made the experience though were the registrars, they were so professional and really put everyone at ease leading us through our ceremony perfectly. The gardens looked fantastic too even in late September there were still lots of flowers in bloom.

My mother got married to her husband yesterday it was lovely..... Not here though! my mother was born in Lewes so it would have been a nice idea. When her incredibly sweet and intelligent now husband called Lewes registry office to enquire he was met with absolute rudeness. Just merely enquiring he was asked why they wanted to get married here and told that is was the most expensive place to get married.(implying they couldn't afford it) The registrar put him off everyway she could. He did not retort but booked a friendlier venue... To the registrar they could easily afford to get married here but who would! If you are offering a service it might do you not to be so self entitled and rude.

Beautiful location but we were rushed, made to feel at fault by one member of staff and one of our party was not admitted to the wedding. £600 paid for about 45 minutes. I am not sure the location alone was worth it!

The wedding registry was held in the smallest room but very expensive and ceremony took about 20mins only so not even the whole one hours promised and as soon as it was over and it was raining outside and the registry people just kicked us out! Without no consideration! And didn't even open the door not even 5 minutes early eventhough they asked us to show up 15 minutes before ceremony. Awful service! Not worth the £300!
