Very upset with this agency. We arranged two viewings 4days in advance and took time off work to fit in with when the agency were doing their block viewings. In the morning of the viewing they called to confirm both viewings. Then 45 minutes before the second viewing they called to cancel it because they didn’t have keys. The woman explained she would still meet us at the first property in 15 mins (which was the arranged time). 20 minutes later we were called again to cancel the second viewing and I explained that we had already been told but we were waiting at the first property. We were then told that the viewing for the first property would need to be cancelled as they didn’t have the keys, despite confirming 20 minutes earlier. The whole situation was handled terribly and there was no remorse at all from the agents. This is clearly something that happens a lot as there were also conveniently only 4 members of staff working today with no managers or senior staff. Highly disappointed with this service.

7 years ago they couldn't of been more helpful but recently when it came to moving on we were given the run around, if it was referencing they took for ever blaming head office or getting our bond bank taking for ever. But also while we were in the property if we had any issues for e.g. a fence blown down in high wind saying can we take pictures the landlord won't do anything without this...! Keeping old shower heads...? In fact it wasn't the landlord at all just them. All I can think of is you end up doing it yourselves. 7 years no decorating not one fence panel painted we did the lot and more besides. Don't use them part of countrywide group now I believe

Finding a new flat to rent as two postgraduate students has been a stressful and exhausting time for us, but Letters of Distinction have really been incredible. When Sally met us at the property she was happy for us, but also honest about the flat. When we applied for the flat, she and Zoe were amazing - they were calm when we weren't, they were happy for us when our application was successful, and it was just the most delightful interaction. Even when I had an issue with my part of the paperwork, Zoe had so much patience for me and helped to talk me through what was happening, and what I needed to do - a lifesaver! And Rebecca has been brilliant, finalising everything, going over the contract with us, right down to giving us the keys to our new home. It's been lovely, from start to finish! Nothing was hidden from us, everyone was honest and approachable, and just a pleasure to interact with. I'd recommend Letters of Distinction to anyone looking for a place in York, but I'd especially recommend it to postgraduates looking for a home!
