The organisation is a waste of taxpayer money because it does not provide any meaningful services to the public. • The organisation is biased in favour of big law firms and does not take complaints from ordinary citizens seriously. • The organisation has a discriminatory attitude towards people of colour and non-English speakers. I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the organisation. I have been a taxpayer for many years, and I am appalled that my money is being used to fund this organisation, which is a total waste of time and resources. The organisation is a whitewasher of big law firms. They do not take complaints from ordinary citizens seriously and they are biased in favour of big law firms. I have personally experienced this discrimination first-hand. When I tried to file a complaint against a big law firm. The organisation also has a discriminatory attitude towards people of colour and non-English speakers. When I tried to speak to someone who spoke my language, I was told that there was no one available. This is unacceptable and it is a clear sign that the organisation does not value the diversity of its community.

Where does the Working Man or Woman find any justice in this country? As in, "working" for average or low earnings. Today we learned that Solicitors in the U.K. can behave EXACTLY in ANY way that they feel fit and, if you don't have any money, there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. We waited for nearly a year for the Legal Ombudsman to throw our case out. This was against the backdrop of the Legal Firm we complained about even ADMITTING in writing that they had failed us. What is the point of the existence of the Legal Ombudsman? The logical conclusion can only be that it exists solely to protect/shield the Legal Profession itself. I think the phrase "Not fit for purpose" has been overused in other reviews, below, but it is entirely accurate. Even though it is a bad joke, if you do actually have any money, find another Solicitor (with a good recommendation) to take on your problematic Solicitor. Perhaps even a "No Win/No Fee" arrangement if they don't take most of the "Win?" Whichever, please don't waste your time with the Legal Ombudsman. If you are in the same financial position as us, sadly, the question remains; where does the Working Man or Woman find any justice in this country? (And the punchline question- is this "public service" funded by our taxes??? HA HA HA HA HA !!!)

I would give minus a million stars if I could, just another inexistant service funded by public money focused on doing nothing at all to help. Complete wastage of any time, just a lot of big words without any substance to cover their lack of any commitment up. They reek of scam, and as other reviews have pinpointed, they seem to be in every law firm pockets.Appalling.

There is no justice. They're toothless. They try to persuade you to accept whatever paltry amount you're offered by the solicitor in 'compensation' - generally an hour or two of the going rate for a solicitor. Their hands are tied as to what they can do, and it isn't much. Why is there no accessible list of the firms complaints have been upheld against? How are you supposed to find a good solicitor? I've dealt with six over the last few years and none of them have been any good. I've had a look into the Ombudsman comments procedure and there are only certain things you can composing about - service levels, basically. What a joke.

Zero Stars should be an option I filed a complaint on 6th December 2021 about my appalling experience with Sinclairs Law in Twickenham. It appears that the legal ombudsman is not fit for purpose if they are receiving so many complaints they cannot process them in a reasonable timescale and 1 year and 3 months is hardly reasonable and it begs the question why there is not more being done to protect the public from unscrupulous or poorly perforiming legal (so called) professionals and the body that is supposed to be there to protect us the public (who pays the fees of these poor professionals) , fails on so many levels it is not even aiming for a decent level and standards comensurate with what is paid to provide these services. Sadly the Government does not bother to check the standards they are supposed to govern.

Hours spent compiling information that the ombudsman do not look at or chose to ignore even when it is relevant to the case. Don’t bother wasting your time. We have no legal remedy and solicitors are a law onto themselves. Waste of tax payers money!

We have waited well over a year for the legal ombudsman look into an issue we have with Beswicks legal based in Stoke. They gave incorrect legal advice at the start, which cost us a lot of money. The legal ombudsman have sided with them, not taking any of the evidence into account. Totally one sided view point in favour of a robbing, cowboy solicitor firm. Totally waste of time, looks like the only way to get a resolve is let our situation to go to court to allow us to get an unbiased opinion. Don’t waste your time.
