The best place ever to learn martial arts! I joined 2 years ago and I am very satisfied with my choice. I have attended classes regularly. Paul is a great teacher & I really enjoy training with him. Training consists of a variety of classes i.e. Kickboxing, Filipino Boxing, JKD, Kali, BJJ. The skills we acquire are highly effective in real-life. We are building a strong foundation with lot of pads, shields, sparring etc but also dirty things for the street i.e. JKD, Kali. Since I joined the academy I can feel a great improvement in my physical condition and self defence ability. Joining Legacy Academy has been a great experience for me! Highly recommended to train with Paul!

Great place to learn Martial Arts, any level welcome. At the academy one can learn how to defend oneself from a knife or a group attack and also one can acquire many sparring techniques to win every fight. Everyone is respectful and comes from a different background. All ages are welcome and treated with equal respect, I joined the academy when I was 23 and sparred and trained with people who were even in their 60's. I have visited and trained at different gyms in different countries and 4D is on a different level, it is not just about the techniques you can learn, but also about how they are being taught. Everyday Legacy's instructors will correct details from your guard, posture, footwork and breathing technique in a friendly manner, resulting in perfect execution of basic punches, kicks and grappling techniques. It becomes easier to be excellent at fighting, when surrounded by highly experienced martial artists who are so kind and helpful that you won't be able to realise that they are instructors themselves.This is possible at Legacy Martial Arts, because many Instructors from around the world visit the Academy to show respect to Bob Breen and 4D Combat. In addition, this is possible due to the culture encouraged at the core of 4D combat, which in my words would be translated: "A humble community with lethal skills and perfect execution of martial arts". They also give online lessons and have an online hub, which is excellent for shy people who would prefer to know the basics before stepping into the physical academy.

Bob Breen who teaches here is the real deal. If you were wondering about the legitimacy or effectiveness of this school then pay a visit and you will change your mind. There are a lot of self defense schools who teach impractical technique which you could study for decades and you would be no more useful in a fight. This is one of the few that is not like that. Bob Breen has spent a lifetime in the martial arts and he understands them thoroughly, and has a passion for teaching. If you live locally I implore you to give it a try as self defense instructors who are this good are very rare. Aside from this the classes are reasonably priced and people there are very friendly.

Such a great place to train! I joined the club a little over a year ago, and I can say that the quality of the training here, along with the enthusiasm, delivery, and knowledge of the instructors is truly world-class. I’ve trained in a few other systems over the last few years, in both combat sports and self-defence capacities, but it’s here where I feel my fighting skills are truly accelerating. The club has a wonderful atmosphere, and the community here have been genuinely welcoming. I’ll be sticking around here for a long time to come!

I've been training with the Academy for going on 15 years now and have never regretted the decision to sign up for the Beginners Course. In that time, the club has changed premises and evolved to the Breen Legacy Academy but something that never changes is the high quality of instruction and the club ethos which is all inclusive. Training is taken seriously but always fun, the membership are fantastic - all grades train together and we all help each other. The instructors over the years have included Champions at British/European and World class level in various disciplines, all of whom are very approachable and enjoy nothing more than seeing students progress. One thing I've learned is that the best martial artists, the best instructors, are just like you and me - people we can all relate to and are on the same martial arts journey, continually learning, continually improving, sharing their knowledge to their students. So, if you like me, always wanted to learn martial arts but prevaricated because you didn't know - 'What should I learn' , 'Where can I find a good school/instruction', 'Will I enjoy it and will I fit in', 'Am I fit enough' ... Take that first step, walk through the door and start your journey - you'll be made very welcome and you'll love it ... and bring your partner (he/she will love it too, mine does)!
