Great name for a pond. Walk past it two or three times a week. Often reminds me of my first wife - she used to throw me around the bedroom like a leg of lamb. In another strange quirk of fate, later in life I developed a penchant for mutton dressed as lamb etc. etc..

Too much noise and pollution. Not much to see the walk itself wasn’t great.

Five Ace Stars for this "Leg of Mutton Pond" in Hampstead Heath. This one is WAY better than the one located in Edgware, which has a problem with surface scum. This one has more trees than the one in Richmond Park. There's a great one at Bushy Park too. Haven't been there since the 1980s though. Gotta love all ponds called "Leg of Mutton Pond" - who doesn't?
