  I came to Paul to find "my voice" I had been singing for many years (privately!!) and I had always gone for mimicry when singing. I suffered from nervousness about singing with accompaniment as my voice could be very pitchy at times, especially when singing softly. Working with Paul at his studio in Leigh and then in Manchester at Blueprint, I have been able to discover so much about my voice and my love of singing has rocketed as a result. I look forward to our sessions and have had some moments of connection with music that I can only describe as profound. Paul is a great guy and puts you at ease immediately. He is so knowledgeable about the way the voice works both physically and emotionally. Highly recommend Paul to anyone looking to learn about their voice and themselves in equal measure. Just wonderful. Do it!!!!

  I’ve been working with Paul for a while now both at blueprint studios and more recently with online sessions, both of which have been equally as helpful; and it’s been one of the most fulfilling experiences I’ve ever had. My vocal ability and understanding of the voice has improved vastly from when I first met him. He is sincerely invested in the advancement of his students and has made me feel at ease from day one. I could have never improved or been consistent without Paul’s know how and his great attitude to teaching. When I first met him I had no consistency with my voice, and no confidence that what I was doing was truly singing. That has completely changed now, with friends, family and strangers all commenting positively on my voice. Paul has a great understanding of the voice and he’s been able to diagnose where I’m going wrong and give me the tools I need to start doing things right and creating the tones that I want to create, while having confidence in the sound and the pitch. I look forward to continue working with him going forward into the future and I am so glad I made the choice to start lessons with him. He is by far the best music teacher I have ever worked with, I couldn’t sing his praises more if I tried. Truly a world class voice coach.

  I’ve been having singing lessons with Paul for just around a year now and can confidently say it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! Paul has helped me build my confidence as a vocalist and really helped me understand things about my voice that I don’t think I could have ever discovered on my own. Not only this but he has helped me find some comfort in singing and I often come away from the lessons, not only a lot more confident in where my journey as a singer is taking me, but also calm and collected in general. Not only is Paul a brilliant teacher he’s a really nice and welcoming person. For someone like myself who can be a bit anxious when singing in public, he made the experience super comfortable! He’s become a trusted confident and I look forward to our lessons as I know I’ll always learn something while also having a laugh, which is never a bad thing in my eyes!   Paul has quickly become one of the most valuable members of our team. Whether it’s preparing for a specific show/long tour or recovering from a tough stretch of performances, Paul is our go to guy. I first met Paul when I was recovering from laryngitis and we were in the midst of signing our first record deal. During such a stressful period, Paul not only tackled the flaws in my vocal technique but he really helped me to understand how mental health is the most important thing to get right before starting to sing. We then began to stretch the sessions and included ones with the entire band to work on arrangements and realistic pre-show routines. We’ve been working together for almost a year now and I feel like although we’ve come a long way already, we both share a vision for the future that is exciting. The guys a beast and we hope to work with him for as long as possible.

  I first came to Paul in 2017, when I was having problems with my singing. I had just started doing solo gigs, and was having trouble getting my voice to last for an hour and a half, and felt like I was struggling with hitting higher registers. Paul understood my issues immediately, and was able to pinpoint quickly what I needed to work on. Even after the first lesson I was noticing a drastic difference in the longevity of my voice, and was already starting to sing better. 18 months down the line, and my voice is now immeasurably better. Not only am I comfortable singing for longer periods, but my voice has gotten more powerful, my range has improved, and I’ve discovered new ways of singing that I didn’t even know existed before! Thanks to Paul’s guidance, I’m now working full time as a performing musician, gigging a few times a week, something I never thought possible when I was struggling to sing for an hour! Paul is an exceptional teacher, with an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of the voice and its workings. Each time I go for a lesson I come out and can’t believe the improvements I make even in that one hour. On top of all this, Paul is a great laugh and is really easy to get along with. Could not recommend him enough!

  I would recommend lessons with Paul to anyone serious about improving their vocal technique and stamina. I have been working with Paul for over a year now and the difference in the reliability and consistency of my vocals has been fantastic, fixing some persistent technical issues picked up from previous teachers who had not been as knowledgeable about how the voice should be used! I would especially recommend his approach for actors as he helps you to have maximum freedom of interpretation as well as solid technique. I feel more confident in my voice than ever and am excited to continue to learn. Before I had natural ability which was limited by a technique which could not always be relied upon, now I'm developing to my fullest potential as a singing actress.

  Paul is can-do coach. There is nothing that I’ve brought to a session that he’s been unable to help me with; singing, projection, performance and so on. Not only has Paul helped me grow my vocal range (beyond what others had told me was possible) but he has made me more confident in my craft, and more comfortable as a performer.   Before I met Paul, I lacked confidence in the quality of my live performance and my general ability to develop my vocal abilities for recording purposes. I was keen to work on these areas, with the help of a professional vocal coach, as I was gaining increasing support from BBC Introducing. He helped me understand my voice (and so much more) while still allowing me to be myself and grow as a performer.   Paul is a really good teacher, he makes you feel really comfortable and relaxed. He helps you identify exactly what it is you should be working on and then gives you the tools to progress. Highly recommended!
