We visited Leadbelly's twice last Friday. Our first visit was for drinks and some laptop work. The ambiance and decor were enjoyable, and the beer offerings were good but standard, featuring a few semi-craft options such as Beavertown. If this is an independent establishment, I'd recommend the owners consider sourcing from local breweries, particularly considering their proximity to the renowned Bermondsey Beer Mile. A rotating local selection on one of the taps would be a nice touch. The staff were friendly and prompt in their service at the bar. For our second visit, we were looking to grab a quick dinner. Despite the bar being crowded due to guests from a Printworks event, we were seated promptly. The menu offered a decent selection, even for a vegetarian like me. I opted for the Beyond Meat burger (and chips), a favorite of mine whenever I spot it on a menu. My friend chose a Pepperoni Pizza. Although both dishes appeared appetising upon arrival, the appeal of my burger dwindled once I cut it in half. It made me question if it was indeed a Beyond Meat patty, as the ones I've cooked at home have never been as dry and flavourless as the one I was served. The accompanying chips were undercooked and just bad. My friend, too, found his pizza lacking. We also felt the 12.5% service charge was somewhat steep, adding to an already pricey meal. Four stars is generous, but three stars might be too harsh. Giving your lack of options in the area due to minimal competition, there isn't anywhere else I would recommend over this.

Not great table service. Had to ask for my umbrella back from the bar as my table was cleared when I went to the bathroom despite having already placed a food order so clearly I hadn’t left. Toilet either blocked or no toilet roll, not nice.
