There'd be a much better relationship between boaters and rowers if there was a little less entitlement to the river from both parties. The shouting on the water before 8am and crashing into boats and then rowing off as though nothing happened tests my patience though.

I looked at this location to find out exactly how to get there by road. My wife, who actually took a group of rowers there, found it very friendly and well-organised. The setting is picturesque and it is accessible to the public as the canal towpath passes in front of the Club's premises, which are excellent.
