Le Vacherin has the potential to be so much better. However, the website and its contents e.g. food menu and wine list is woefully out of date in terms of choice and price. Despite sharing this with the restaurant, the staff member responded by stating that it's the customer's responsibility to ring the restaurant to ensure that their website and advertised menus are correct before booking a table! Clearly, they have absolutely no idea of consumer law, advertising standards or basic customer service. Extremely disappointing experience. Further, rather than receiving this feedback gracefully, they chose to cause an embarrassing scene by arguing in the middle of a very busy service. Most unacceptable. I'm a restaurant reviewer for a well known publication, needless to say, this was, overall, an incredibly disappointing experience, especially considering the price point. Bill was just under £200. Food was average.
