  Losing someone you love is one of the most difficult experiences that we face. Unfortunately it is something that most of us will have to go through in our lifetime & to make it harder we have to entrust our loved one to someone we probably do not know to help us with their final journey. Finding the right funeral service can be a daunting prospect but we were fortunate enough to find LDC Funeral Service & I am so glad we did. From my first conversation with Paul I knew we were in safe hands. We could not have asked for a more professional, genuine person to help us lay our dad to rest. Paul listened to our wishes, explained everything thoroughly & understood exactly what we wanted as if he had known us & dad for years. Nothing was ever too much trouble & the service we received before, during & after the funeral was outstanding. If you are looking for a funeral service with a human touch, someone who genuinely cares & you can trust, then I would highly recommend LCD. Both Paul & his wife Ann are a credit to their industry. Thank you both for all your help, guidance & support. You truly helped us give dad the wonderful day he deserved & one that will remain a treasured memory for us all.

  I would like to thank LDC for their support, guidance and care in providing a funeral service that enable our family to have a sense of closure with regard to the passing of a loved one. I appreciated the quick and precise responses to emailed queries and questions. Every contact made was meet with sensitivity, kindness and understanding and therefore have played an instrumental role in helping the processes of managing grief. LDC provided a refreshing alternative to the somewhat bland, disingenuous and corporate feel of other funeral services we looked into and instantly provided a great sense of trust and honesty which was a huge relief. I wholeheartedly recommend LDC as a funeral service not just in terms of value for money which they certainly do, but by providing a service that has helped us as a family to have a sense of closure at our most difficult of times. He didn't pressure us into anything, but just showed us different options in a sensitive way.   When my partner passed away recently, our adult daughters and I had very little idea of where to start. We decided to ask friends of ours who'd lost someone to give us a recommendation for a funeral director. We asked two people (who didn't know each other) and they both gave us the name of LDC. I knew a celebrant who I thought would be great (she was) but apart from her, Paul Farrell and his wife, Ann, took care of pretty much everything else from the venue to the flowers and the care and competence they showed were all we could have wanted. The Service itself was beautiful and we all came away feeling uplifted and really supported. All our wishes were taken care of and we felt the cost of the funeral was more than reasonable. All in all, we were extremely satisfied and would give them the highest recommendation.

  I engaged LDC Funeral Services Ltd less than 2 months ago to assist with arrangements for my mum's cremation. Naturally I was concerned to find a company which had all the attributes you would expect in what are extremely difficult circumstances for family members, so: compassion, kindness, patience, understanding and good knowledge. LDC had all these qualities and more. I also liked that this company is concerned about the environmental impact of the work they carry out. I believe that what I needed from LDC was fairly simple and straightforward and I was very happy with the service. I had several calls and emails with Paul. He knows his stuff and was always prompt in returning my calls or emails. I felt secure in proceeding with LDC as one is made to feel in safe hands. Paul is respectful and appreciates the challenging circumstances that his service-users / customers find themselves in. Paul is straightforward, polite and skilled. Even if my needs were more detailed or complicated, I am sure that LDC would have been able to meet those needs. I probably can't say any more than that - LDC are great. These are indeed hard times for family members so to say one was 'very happy' with the service provided seems odd but I think you understand. In the context of those challenging circumstances, I was satisfied with Paul and Ann who run a nice small business to help grieving family members sort out funeral/cremation arrangements for their loved ones who have passed on.

In this modern, complicated world, we have to entrust family matters to those outside of kinship and I would say Paul and team stepped up competently.
