    Unreliable. You will chase them for months on any outstanding tasks but they will ignore you. And then once your builders have left they will send things that need to be done. Things that they should have picked up on their initial visits. Really poor service for such a high price. Would not recommend.

    LB Building Control completion our regulatory approval for side return extension in Clapham. They were recommended to us by our architects (Draw). Matt overseen the project and was professional and attentive throughout. My wife was heavily pregnant at the time and timing was important to helping the job completed and signed off. Both Matt, with the help of Kate went beyond expectations for us. After the build we also needed to access supporting documentation. Kate and Matt again went out of their way to access this information which was important for us. If you want good people, who you can trust during projects that are already stressful enough I would have to recommend LB Building Control.

    I strongly recommend you to stay away from this company, We had instructed them to be our building controller on 24/01/20, and on the same day we decided not to proceed, and changed the plan from a double extension story to a single extension story. I called LB Building and told them what our plan was, and they said it was no problem. We had asked them about the charges and they said once they had the new plans, they can amend them with no extra charge, although they said there may be an admin fee (but this was never confirmed). Now they have sent us a bill for £648, and another one for £120, even though I didn't click the link in their email to confirm. I had clearly instructed them in an email, in bold and red lettering, not to do anything before the planning permissions were approved. I will take up this matter with Ombudsman or trading standard.

The company are ready to help in providing ideas to solve problems that are within the regulation standards. Matthew my building controller was professional and readily available to inspect my property. The initial builders left my house unfinished Matthew was able to work with my new builders efficiently as he was able to explain to the builders what needed doing to the property. I am really happy with the service provided by the company and I highly recommend their services as the building controller is very knowledgeable in providing us advice on alternative measures to solve problems left by the old builders. I highly recommend this building control company as they will support your work by giving you constructive advice every step of the way. My family and I are very grateful to Mathew and his company for helping us.

    I recommend you do not use this company. Simply it is managed by 2 ladies who clearly are not interested in the slightest in delivering a service. Initially we did not fill in the forms correctly and were asked to redo them. We did just that but the person we spoke to insisted it needed to be done again for no apparent reason or we would be charged twice and that it was not her problem. When we complained and asked to speak to another person, she simply became very irritated, reiterated our application would be ignored and put the phone down. When we rang back to ask to speak to the Director of the company, she refused and told us to go elsewhere. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT USE THIS UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISHONEST COMPANY. THEY ARE BULLIES I WAS CALLED BY STEVE, THE DIRECTOR WHO APPRECIATED THAT THE COMPANY SHOULD HAVE OFFERED A BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND APOLOGISED FOR THE STAFF'S BEHAVIOUR. IT WAS VERY LOVELY OF HIM. HE WAS VERY KIND AND HELPFUL AND SEEMED A VERY DECENT PERSON. I WOULD BE HAPPY TO TRY AND WORK WITH HIM IN THE FUTURE WITHOUT HIS STAFF.
